HELP! Does a fresh egg sink or float?

I know you can see if an egg is still fresh by putting in in a glass of water to see if it sinks or floats. I just can't remember if a good egg sinks or floats Please help the future of my chocolate cake depends on it

Happy to report they are GOOD EGGS!!! The date on the carton was kind of rubbed off so I just wanted to be sure
