I can't decide where to go.
Disneyland or Disneyworld.
The hardest question of them all!

We want to go in February, but can't pick which one!

We have been to both 2x. Disneyland in 04 and 05. WDW in 06 and 07.

We love WDW, but are very sad that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed in February, as DH and the kids love it. It is their 2nd favorite 'park' after Hollywood Studios.
The buy 4 nights get 3 deal is a very good deal. Better than the Disneyland deals.

Last 2 times we went we had free dining, so that will be hard to not have this time!

We would like to do Disneyland and also go to San Diego Zoo so DS can see the Pandas, and DD can see the Giraffes. And would go to Universal. Though that might be disappointing after Universal Orlando....
But we haven't been to Disneyland in 4 years, so it will be much different, since there are different rides, and the kids are so much older, it will be a different experience.

I know I am just 'typing out loud' here. Kind of like Thinking out Loud. Because I can't decide!

Any input?

hi there, we did DW in 04, and DL in 06 and 07....when i ask my kids which they prefer, they say DL...the ONLY reason they would want to go back to DW is for the waterparks, other than that they love everything about DL....my daughter is turning 18 in may and then gradding, and i gave her many choices about where would she go on our "family" trip, and my daughter chose DL:cool1: ...I dont know about alberta, but from bc, it is much cheaper to fly to DL, unless we drive to seattle...also, the flight is a big seller for us....2 3/4 hours to DL as opposed to 6 1/2-7 to DW...have fun in whatever you decide, they are both awesome...oh, last time we did DL, we took a 40 minute road trip down harbor boulevard (rented a car for the day) and went to newport beach, it was great :thumbsup2 ...

DL hands down. If you want the park experience go back to DL if you want the resort experience go to WDW. I much prefer the climate and the landscape in California. I love being able to drive down the coast to San Diego all the time. Florida is too flat and muggy for me lol. Once all the upgrades are complete at DL it will be a destination experience for sure! With that being said our next 2 trips are to Florida just because it happens to be cheaper and we still have some things to do there we have not done yet.:thumbsup2

If you do the math, this promo doesn't work out much more expensive than free dining.

Example
January 25th - February 1st in a value for 2 adults, 2 children (ages 3-9) base tickets and dining plan:

$1,947.44

vs.

August 25th - September 5th in a value for 2 adults, 2 children (ages 3-9) base tickets and free dining plan:

$1,549.96

With the $200 gift card Disney is offering with the current promo, free dining would actually only work out to be $196.48 cheaper. As a bonus, you won't have any threat of hurricanes for February travel. :thumbsup2
