Help! Disney screwed up ADR.

My sister called me in a panic this afternoon after calling to add a "Special occasion" to our Luau ADR for 8/28 (10 of us all together) only to find out that even though my BIL CALLED in this ADR and confirmed the day and date, Disney booked it for 8/27 instead. I'm flying in Wednesday with 4 kids and DH is flying in on Thursday but doesn't even land until 11:25pm. The only seating they have left is Cat1 which is not on the dining plan (we have regular and sister & family have DXDP). Sorry. WHAT??:eek: BIL asked for confirmations in an e-mail and the CM said they don't send them for over the phone ADR's. This could have been avoided!!

I told her she needed to call them back and they had to make it right no matter what. I haven't heard back yet but I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this before and any tips or advice sure would help. I don't want to do the luau with everyone but hubby.
 
When you call on the phone they always give con. #'s. If he does not have one, then I do not think there is much you can do. If you do, I would just stand my ground until they give you a new ADR. Good luck!
 
I agree.......please when calling make sure that the cm gives you your confirmation numbers over the phone......I just did our reservations and got all separate confirmation numbers......

Hope that your bil gets his reservation back
 
1) Call back and explain the problem.
2) Sometimes they can help.
3) Other times, they cannot.
4) This is not like a restaurant, they cannot just override an ADR and fit you in.
5) There are a specific number of tables.
6) If all are booked, then they would have to kick someone else out.

NOTE: I have seen the same thing happen at HDDR several times. If all the tables get booked, then there was nothing even the manager could do. Call again, and hope for some Pixie Dust. If he is convinced this was truly a WDW error, maybe he can put you and your friends into Cat-1.
 

Yeah when i called the first time the gave me all my confim#s and i always ask them to REPEAT thing back to me.

I do the same thing then set them up on a spread sheet on my computer. The new online system is great... now I can go in and verify that the confirmation number I have does in fact match the date and time I booked. :thumbsup2
