Hey guys,
Well our vacation was set for the last week of Aug. now my DH had to change it to the first week of October....can anyone tell me what it's like down there in October......crowds and most important weather....is is still warm down there at this time???? I really would like to have the warm weather??? I am upset because I felt like August was still summer and now I feel like it will be dreary and cold in October, can anyone help me on this one???? Thanks guys. We are taking our 2 yo ds on his first trip.

I would like to know this too! I'm thinking of the first or second week of October for next year. Especially for the food and wine festival and MNSSHP!

But I wouldn't worry too much about the weather, when we went in Dec. a couple of years ago it was 75 degrees and beautiful the whole week! It was also pretty warm at night so we could still go swimming in the pool.

WONDERFUL time of year...not muggy/humid....lower chance of rain/hurricaines!!! highs low 80 day....you might need a sweatshirt in early am or late night...much lower crowds...it is a very positive change for you!!!

you must do the halloween party now...check threads about MNSSHP! not to be missed!

I think you will be very happy with the weather. It will still be very warm to even hot. It won't be cold and dreary at all. We have gone twice in October, later in the month, and found it beautiful. There should be less humidity than August too! You will also get to do a halloween party if you want and the food and wine thing at Epcot. I think you'll love it! I wish I was going.

No need to worry about October weather! At the beginning of the month normal highs are in the upper 80s. By the end of October they have "cooled" to the low 80s! Morning lows are usually in the 60s to near 70.

Crowds are pretty manageable, although there is some increased traffic for the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP.

Hope this helps!

I've been twice in October, more towards the end as our anniversary is the 18th. You'll love it. You'll never wanna go in hot August again. (Just teasing)

I've had a week long trip and a long weekend trip. Never had any rain. You'll wear shorts during the day, and bring a long sleeved t-shirt for the evening. We didn't go to the water parks, but we did go swimming at AK during the long weekend. So, it's plenty warm, usually, to do that.

Oh and by the way I was just showing your baby's picture to people I work with and we all just think you have THE CUTEST baby. What gorgeous eyes!

Hey guys thanks so much.....appreciate the info....

Attn: Neverland23....thank you so much for the compliment on my baby, yea we get a lot of comments on his eyes....I truly appreciate it, I think he is pretty cute and special myself......Have a great day!!!
