Hi

We are looking for a deluxe inside stateroom on the magic. I've narrowed it down to deck 2 or 7. Any feedback on the pros and cons of either option? Deck 2 will be midship. Deck 7 will be forward.

Thanks!

We like deck 2. It's close to restaurants, lobby, theater, and the getting on and off the ship.

Deck 2. Close to everything on decks 3/4 and never an issue to get an empty elevator up to the higher decks that you might not want to climb the stairs to.

Deck 2 in a heartbeat. We loved it and especially being deck 2 midship. It's so convenient to everything. Once you stay on deck 2, I doubt you ever look at other decks again!

Is the convenience at the expense of peace and quiet with potentially increased traffic in the vicinity?

Another vote for deck two but keep in mind that the Edge club is also on deck two midship.

I thought it had been moved... The deck plans show it on Deck 9...

The one caution with Deck 2 is that you will have more vibration from the ships engines and general operation. It isn't too bad, but some have commented that it was disconcerting at times and very noticeable during docking and departure. Departure is not too bad but docking can sometimes be pretty early and wake you up.

I'm in the minority here and would prefer deck 7 for those reasons.

We've only booked deck 2 rooms on the Magic and Wonder. I've never felt any vibrations from the ship's engines there. And certainly none like the vibrations I felt on the Fantasy when we were on decks 9 & 10.

Yes, during docking in ports there can sometimes be noises associated with that, and that can be early in the morning. But, for the most part, it's close to the time for getting up anyway, especially if you're doing an excursion in port.

We like to be closer to the drink station, ice cream, Cabanas, ect... We took the stairs alot, so we prefer deck 7-8.
