Hi
We'll be traveling to WDW with our then almost 8 month old at the end of Aug. We want to take her to Chef Mickey's and would prefer breakfast. I checked on some available times for some of our days and they have very early ones open, like 7:15, 7:30 or later like at 10. Am I crazy to book an early one? I think most nights we will try to get to bed early so we can be up early to take advantage of smaller crowds and less heat.

Any advice/experience to share?

Thanks!

It would depend on your baby's normal schedule, and how they react to changes. We took DS at 6 mo and 8 mo, and did character meals. We just did lunches, since they fit in with our plans best - he's not an early riser, plus then 1 hr time change. He loved the charcter meals. Even when it was getting close to nap time, he'd be crying, and then a character would come by, and he'd start laughing and smiling. We got some great pictures. His favorite were the fuzzy ones (Pooh, Piglet, etc), but he also liked Pluto's wiskers and Goofy.

So, if your baby is an early riser, or generally in a good mood in the morning, I say go for it.

I also agree with planning early evenings. We were always back at the room by 3 pm or so, to rest, nap, etc. The heat esp will drain you and baby.
