My sister (1 1/2 yrs older than me) has NEVER wanted to go anywhere that I have gone. For the first time, she is voicing extreme interest in doing a sisters quick-trip to WDW! We are really trying to have a nice trip (2nd week of March for 3 or 4 nights) but I cannot decide where to stay!

I am waiting for SW to open up March, so the airline tickets hopefully will be within a decent price range. I LOVE LOVE LOVE WL, but have never stayed at any moderate resorts or any other Deluxes. I am thinking we would spend most of our evenings at the World Showcase at EPCOT, which makes WL not as ideal as an EPCOT resort. But the WL is so relaxing and NICE! And the price is lower than the EPCOT resorts. But from staying there 2x before I know that the bus to EPCOT is horrendously slow, with super-long wait time between buses.

I have AAA and an AP (will be expiring right AFTER our trip) so AP discount is NOT out of the question. Even if I have to book BRP. Poly looks nice, and it is just a walk away from TTC which would get us to EPCOT or MK easily and somewhat quickly. But POLY might end up quite out of our budget, don't want sis to shy away at the price tag and want it all to be WORTH the cost! We could, for example, stay Concierge at WL for just over the cost of the cheapest Poly room!

Any advice? we are both early 30's, married with kids.

My first choice would be PORiverside. It's just a boat ride to DtD for shopping, etc. and not a long bus ride to Epcot. It's a beautiful, quiet resort and moderately priced. For Deluxe, I think WL is your best bet, but you might be able to get a really good rate with BRP and your AP discount at OKW or Sarasota Springs so you might want to look into those as well for something totally different.

I say look into the Yacht Club. Its a perfect area, especially if you'll be in Epcot alot. DH & I walked there, and to the Boardwalk almost every night. And you can walk to MGM too.

I own at BWV and love it there!! But I also love POR. That was my first resort and I still try to stay there for a few nights every other year or so. Have you thought about the Contemporary? It is close to TTC via the monorail, so you could get to Epcot pretty quickly. And it is usually priced more reasonably than the Polynesian and other deluxes. We loved it there and would love to stay there again. And you can just walk to MK or take a boat over to WL.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

WL is starting to worry me, because BRP tends to not show discounts on standard view rooms at all. I did consider the contemporary, actually...is it still nice to stay at, if you DON'T get a tower room? I am scared that I will lose self-discipline and splurge on tower view, and break the budget completely, lol.

I definitely am considering YC/BC or BWI...never been inside any of them. Even considered S&D but they don't have AAA or AP discounts for my dates. I plugged in Holiday dates, just to get SOME clue what BRP offers, and noticed that Saratoga Springs came up for a nice price, as did OKW...but are they like staying at the WDW resorts? Don't want to lose any "Disney Magic" or anything, otherwise I would stay offsite, lol.

OHHHH do I wish DSis would HELP ME DECIDE~

It's especially hard, not knowing what the discounts will be, and where!

What about renting points for either BCV or BWV?

Now, that is an idea! I am gonna have to do the math now so when Disney decides how/if they will do AP discounts in March, I can compare quickly.

Anyone have opinions on what will really impress my sis? She just married a pretty snooty, germophobic guy so I wonder how much she will be nitpicking.
