Help decide, dining for a Party Day

Looking for some input. We are going in September and have our Dining plans made already but I'm questioning our plan for the Day we are going to the Halloween Party. (we are on the deluxe dining plan)
We have nothing planned for breakfast or lunch. We do have reservation for Le Cellier around 4:00pm and then will head over to the party.
Now I'm thinking we should be over at MK sooner. Yes? No?
I know the party doesn't start til 7 but we should be able to get in a little earlier (not a problem if we can't but I'd like to max out our time)
So I'm wondering if we should have a table service lunch instead of the 4:00 dinner? Or at least a good breakfast and then wing it the rest of the day? Or just make our dinner reservation somewhere closer to MK? Can you see my head spinning??!! lol

You will be able to enter MK at 4pm. Perhaps dine at a signature restaurant at one of the MK resorts so its quick and easy to get from there to MK for the party.

In years past (and we haven't heard otherwise for this year yet), they've allowed party guests to enter MK at 4 pm on their party ticket. If that's the case this year, that 4 pm Le Cellier is really going to cut into MK time (if that matters to you). If you keep the ADR, you probably won't be entering MK until about 6:15 - 6:30 pm.

Personally, if you want to eat at Le Cellier, I would simply try to get a late lunch reservation, perhaps around 2 pm if available. Or really anywhere in EP around 2 pm. Or a big breakfast.

On nights when we go to the party, we typically eat TS in MK around 5 pm. I would not recommend this if you want to line up for characters. We find the park gets a bit crowded as party guests start mingling with day guests, so, we enter, do a ride or two, eat dinner and, by the time we're out, the crowds have died down quite a bit.

We are going to do Ohana at 4 for MVMCP. We will have our almost 5 year old though and know he needs a full meal with as little stimulation as possible. I couldn't glue him to the seat in MK if I tried probably.

We always did a later TS lunch on MK party days and then did either heavy snacks or a QS for dinner on the run. There are too many fun things to do and see (that we paid a lot of $$ for) to waste the time at a TS dinner!

I have no ADR planned for our MVMCP day. Our plan is to sleep in and relax at the pool. We will eat in the area. We plan on getting to MK at 4 pm and grabbing QS before 5 pm if we're hungry since I want to get in line for the Seven Dwarves. I was thinking of stopping at one of the lounges in the Epcot area (staying at BWV) and maybe grabbing a very late lunch/early dinner before we head to MK. If I were to make an ADR it would be a late breakfast or early lunch.

We did Whispering Canyon around 2PM on a party day, then boat over to MK. That worked great for us and we lined right up to meet the 7 dwarfs.

If you are not wanting to take advantage of early entry to MK before the party starts, then 4pm at Le Cellier will give you plenty of time. My only issue with that plan will be, when do you put your costume on? (assuming you will be wearing one)

We always do an ADR at about 5:30 inside MK so that we are out around 6:30 in time to gear up for the party and we eat that meal with our costumes on already.

If you want to get in line at 5:00 for a character M&G, then definitely going with a lunch ADR is the way to go. Personally, I lined up for the 7 dwarfs at 11:30 and only had to wait 20 minutes, so no chance I would ever line up for an hour or more at a time I could be sitting enjoying a nice meal.

Good point about the costume. I(we) are not huge costume people but definitely will be changing into a halloween themed t-shirt. I can always bring it in my back pack but these are all good reasons to re-think our plan. Thanks!

WE alwyas plan an early TS meal on a party night. I have booked Kona Cafe, LTT, and BOGfor dinner, and have always made sure our cut off was about 5 PM. We dont worry about using early entry, however I want to be in the park and done eating by 6:30.
