We JUST found out that my DD's best friend can't come with us to Disney. :( We're driving down and staying with my sister in Alabama on the way down and back; and when I called to tell her that we'll be one less person, she wanted to know if she could come instead.
We're staying at POP from 10/28-11/5. Two rooms booked for me, DH, DD, DS, BIL, and SIL.
My sister can only come down for 11/2-11/5.
We're booked on a two-day park hopper/free dining package. We have YES tickets for the rest of the trip, but my sister would only need a two-day ticket anyway.
My DD's friend's name is still on everything since I haven't called Disney to change it yet. I'm trying to decide what to do. I know we would have to pay for another adult in the room.

We're all so bummed about my DD's friend not being able to come. I'm not thrilled about trying to add my sister on at the last minute, but I don't know how to say "no" when we're staying with her on the way down and back. But that's another topic. :) Do we even have the option of adding her?

It shouldn't make any difference if you add her except for the extra adult charge. But if you don't want to add her, then why add her? It's up to you whether you feel you can say no or not. It's not your sister's fault the friend couldn't come. You might want the dining credits - she would receive a full set of dining credits and if she can't stay the whole time, you can use them. Only for the room she's in though.

Just realized when your trip is and everything is paid. Only problem might be changing the name as you are less than 45 days out- they might charge a change fee.

I have added an adult (my DH) at check in before. My 2 boys and I were traveling on a package and DH decided at the last minute that he could come for 3 days.

At Pop, they were able to add his name to the room at check-in. He did not have to buy tickets or dining. So maybe you can let them know that your one guest is not coming and add your sister at check-in. You will have to pay the extra adult charge but they will know that you are not over occupancy.

Have a great trip!

Anything you decide to do, I agree with the PP, do it face to face at the resort..
