Everyone has been so helpful! I need some lunch ideas for MK, Epcot and HS. At AK we plan on doing Flame Tree. We are on the dining plan so I would like to do something CS for that. Pecos Bill will be closed during our stay so that one is out. When we are at HS, we will be eating dinner at Sci Fi. It will be myself, DH, DD11 and DD8. I was thinking if possible about walking over to Beaches and Cream for lunch one day. Would this be too much trouble?

Any ideas are appreciated.:worship:

We fell in love with Cosmic Rays when we were there in September. Lots of different stationis. DH had the turkey wrap and I had the barbecued pork sandwich with eclipse chips--excellent. We enjoy Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. Sorry...can't help with the Studios. We avoid ALL CS's there and go to a resort for our CS meal on that day.

Epcot is great for CS, because of all the variety. For the most variety in one place, Sunshine Seasons is definitely the best, but there are so many great food choices around WS as well, that I never have a problem finding a decent CS meal.

I would also agree with Cosmic Ray's for choice in the MK, although I also like Pinocchio's. It's usually a lot easier to find a table at Cosmic Ray's than at Pinocchio's, but I usually eat at one or the other.

At the Studios, I have made do with the Commissary, and it's OK. Not fabulous, but OK. There really aren't any nearby resorts with CS dining, since the Epcot resorts are famous for their lack of CS restaurants. On your Studios day, I would recommend a substantial breakfast, and then plan on snacks most of the day, with a good dinner planned.

My votes are:

MK- Columbia Harbor House. Their tuna sandwiches and clam chowder are great!

Epcot- Anything around World Showcase!

DH- Haven't tried anything here for CS. We ate at Sci-Fi and loved it. Do know that Starring Rolls had some very tasty looking sandwiches and the cherry pastry thingy we got was delish!

For MK I would recommend either Columbia Harbour House, which offers lots of upstairs seating and has very good food or Cosmic Ray's because of the variety of the food.
For Epcot my vote goes for either CS in one of the World Showcase countries or Sunshine Season's. Lots of seating, variety and very good selection of desserts.
For HS we usually use the ABC Commissiary, but there really isn't a very good CS.

As you mentioned Beaches and Cream - beware it is a TABLE SERVICE credit on the DDP!!!!

Enjoy your trip!! :goodvibes

I was thinking of doing the same thing on my DHS day. Leaving and going to Beaches and Cream for lunch. I would also like to know if this is worth the trouble, so far people have not commented on if it is worth it to leave the park to go to Beaches and Cream and go back. :confused3 I will also be on the DDP but would pay OOP for Beaches and Cream because it is not worth a TS credit.

Please note: Beaches & Cream is TS not CS.

DHS - Toy Story Pizza Planet

MK - Main Street Bakery for a sandwich, awesome dessert and beverage. Be happy Peco Bills will be closed, we were really unhappy with our food there.

Epcot - I'd go with the World Showcase too. Sunshine Seasons may be good, but the World Showcase will be more unique. Take at look at menus before your trip. Keep in mind CS meals can be easily shared so sharing a CS meal at more then one WS restaurant might be fun too.

Be sure you plan your AK day to give you plenty of time to see what you want there and take time for lunch. That park typically closes at 5pm. We had a snack there and ate dinner when we left. We arrived early PM and saw all the things on our list.

I know you didn't ask for CS recommendations from DTD, but I have been reading abut CS recommendations on this board for many months and have come to the conclusion that one must eat at place is Wolfgang Puck Express. We are going to give it a try on our trip in a few weeks, and I hope to be able to post a review. From my other "reading" these are the CS I have gleaned to have the most favorable reviews: MK-Caseys, AK: Flametree, DHS:Starring Rolls, EP:Sunshine Seasons. Enjoy your trip. if you haven't checked out the CS menus, they are all located on the Allears.net website under the dining tab!

This was a new find for us this year and we LOVE it--you can get a table with a perfect view of the castle--time it for one of their castle shows and you can watch while you eat! The noodle bowls were amazing, as was the orange chicken. They will let you substitute egg roll for dessert, as well. In Epcot, I think the CS in the land has the best food in FW, but agree that it is much more fun to share meals in different places in WS. Have fun!

The Tomorrowland noodle terrace is supposed to be fantastic - but keep in mind it's only open seasonally. It may not be open when you're there.

For MK I see two other options on the dining plan. The first is Columbia Harbor House - reallly good, fresh tasting tuna sandwiches would be my recommendation. The second is to take advantage of the fact that CS credits include dessert and go to the Main Street Bakery. The actual lunch (pre-made sandwiches) is fairly mediocre, but the desserts are phenomenal.

At Epcot Sunshine Seasons is a general favourite due to the variety of foods offered, but I personally prefer Kringla Bakeri og Kafe. The smoked salmon sandwiches are very good, and the desserts (school bread!) are fantastic.

No one is ever very enthusiastic about dining at the studios. Me, I would recommend either ABC commissary or Toy Story Pizza Planet. The pizza at pizza planet isn't bad - if not great - although the vegetable pizza tastes like dirt. The Cuban Sandwiches at ABC commissary are good. The other option is to eat at Starring Rolls for the dessert.

For the Dining Plan you should definitely check out Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney. A ridiculously good deal for a CS credit.

Epcot is wonderful for CS places in the world showcase! I recommend the fish&chips in UK or the Tangerine cafe in Morocco. I haven't tried the CS in Japan or China but would like to. It's a great place to go CS - you can get a little something at each place and see what you like!

Here are our 3 favorites:

MK - Cosmic Rays
Epcot - Tangerine Cafe or Sunshine Seasons
DHS - none , go to DTD and eat at WGPE

Wow! Thank you for all the replies! I think we will try Columbia Harbour house at MK, snack around at HS and at Epcot-it sounds like we can go to WS and decide...Again, Thank you!

I daydream about the food at Cosmic Ray's. We LOVE the ribs and chicken combo. Both are great, and LOVE the green beans and mashed potatoes with it. The only thing I do different on our multiple trips there in a single vacation is mix up the dessert, both the carrot cake and chocolate cakes are YUMMY!!!! Add an orange soda and it is by far my favorite CS in Disney.

As for EPCOT, if in Future World we enjoyed Sunshime Seasons (great desserts!) In WS, we eat here all around the worlds, a little of this and a little of that.

At AK, we enjoy Flametree. At HS, we wish we knew of something but have found nothing but snacks...

I'd also suggest just snacking around any of the parks if you have a TS meal planned. You don't want to get too full and not be able to enjoy your meal.
That being said, my DH always enjoys eating at the American Adventure pavilion in Epcot - enough assortment for whole family and since DD is now 5 you don't want to go too wild with food choices for her, she likes that it has a fixings bar and she can have a mini-salad with her lunch of a hotdog (no dressing is necessary for her). In the MK, we go to either Pinocchio Haus - pizza, salad, sandwich choices - or Cosmic Rays (also has fixings bar for her salad and extras for his burgers), we used to go to the Pirate & Parrot near Pirates of the Carribbean (sp?) but it wasn't open last visit. In all of our trips we have only ever eaten at HS for TS meals and then left to go elsewhere, normally DTD to go to Earl of Sandwich (great variety including PBJ for DD).
Hope this helps but you'll do best just walking around and spotting places that look great but aren't very crowded. Does it matter what you eat?? You're at WDW!!!
