So I just bought a cookie gun, and made my first batch. The gun works beautiful, cookie dough comes out. I won't stick to my cookie sheet!

I made about a try and a half before it refused to stick any more. I have professional style sheets (not that non-stick stuff). They are clean and ungreased. I tried putting it in the freezer to see if a cold sheet would help, no luck. I squeeze the trigger, a perfect amount comes out, when I lift the gun, nothing is on the tray and the "cookie" is stuck to the bottom of the gun.

Any ideas???? I used the recipe that came with the gun.

I've never used a cookie gun, so take this for what it worth (probably not much).

I'd try chilling the dough. Since the first bunch of cookies worked (the tray and a half that worked), something must have changed. The most obvious thing that I can think of is the dough warming up. I find that I have to do that (re-chillling the dough) when doing roll-out cookies, for example (the dough starts to get sticky as I work with it).

This happens to me sometimes too when the dough gets too soft. Put it in the fridge for a bit and see if that helps. Not too long though because then it will be too stiff for the gun to press the dough.

For my wise and helpful words I expect a dozen of whatever you are making... lol

Ding ding, you win

cookie batter that has butter in it should be in freg resting in between cookies baking. Unless it says keep at room temp.

Clean out the gun, put batter in freg for about -5-10 mins that should stop the stickiness. .

I normally keep min in just before I put the cookies in the oven so its in the freg max about 10-12 mins before I use it again

Thanks. I didn't try chilling the dough as the recipe said everything should be at room temp. I'll try that next. :)
