Help! Confused! MVMCP tix with no expiration???

We thoroughly enjoyed MVMCP last year and hope to go again this December. I called today for advance AP rate tix, and the CM who assisted me (who didn't seem terribly on top of things since she tried to give me a PS rather than tix) offered me a $3+ upgrade to no expiration on the MVMCP tix. She said that they would be good for up to a year for any circumstances out of our control. I've never heard of such a thing??? Does anyone know anything about this? I told her I'd have to check with the others in my party and call back later, but I was wondering if anyone else purchased this and what the specifics would be for using it later. I guess if the CM had seemed more knowledgable, I wouldn't question it, but this just seems weird!

UMMMm the party tickets are good only for that night of the party. The dates are printed on the back. I think you got a confused CM... I would call back. And just out of conversation...ask about it..

I agree with you. This CM was a complete ditz, and she wasn't able to answer any of my questions about it. I thought surely something would be listed on allearsnet and some of my other reference sites if it were truly an option. If no one is able to post today to say that they were also offered this option, I'll assume just was just a freak thing and call back tonight to order my tix from someone who (HOPEFULLY) knows what they're doing.

Wow, TT that's a bit harsh, it could have been any number of things that had her confused. Unfortunately the Cm's don't get training on the new ticket media, they're basically thrown to the wolves.
I'm sorry you experienced some trouble, and I hope that you were able to get tickets to the show. But please try to be a little understanding in dealing with people, afterall to Err is human.

Yep, sounds like she was confused! The $3 is what they charge you if you want them shipped to you. Otherwise you pick them up at will call.
