I, too, hope it was black coffee.
Put it in rice and *leave it there*. Don't turn it on, don't mess with it. Put it in there for at least a few days, if not longer. Just let it sit.
After that, hopefully it will work.
I spilled a beer on my macbook. It slowly regained its abilities, but ultimately I finally replaced it, because whenever it got humid outside it got worse. I think the beer residue swelled, and made it sticky inside. You can imagine how bad it was when I brought it to WDW!
With mine, we put it in rice, took it out too soon. Over time I realized that it had sticky keys, and the function (I think) key never worked again. While trying to get it to work over time I managed to put it into "safe boot" mode, which made me have to use a wire for connection. Finally I realized that the "airport" wasn't actually dead, it's just that you can't use the airport when in safe boot mode. I had to count the number of times I hit "shift" and turn it off then on until I finally got it right, LOL. (hitting "shift" while booting up changes the safe boot mode)
But it just never felt "safe" again, which is why I replaced it.
