We are trying to plan a dinner at Chef Mickey and still be able to see SpectroMagic. When I booked CM the parade times weren't up yet and I booked dinner at 5:30 when Spectro is at 7:00. I did have to change days because spectro wasn't showing on any of our MK days. Now I have a 5:30 reservation for a 7:00 spectro and I can't get an earlier one.
I did however find a 8:30 reservation for CM. What do you recommend? Should we try to do the 5:30, wait until 8:30, or keep trying for a 4:30 or something?

This is the only day we will be at MK when spectro magic is showing. All other evenings we have dinner reservation for other places.

You are in a tough spot! Spectro Magic is a wonderful parade and I wouldn't miss it! I planned my MK day around it! Can you try Chef Mickey's for breakfast or on a different day? I am not sure on timing but I don't think you would make the parade at 7 with a 530 ressie.

However, *If* Spectro starts at 7 on Main Street you should be able to view it there and get to Chef Mickey's by 8:30 (I am not sure how to find where it begins - I think it changes). But if you are all the way in Liberty Square, crowds may prevent you from making it to CM on time.

I recently booked at 6:30 ressie at 1900 Park Fare with Spectro at 9:00 and changed it for an hour earlier because I don't want to take any chances of missing one of my two favorite parades!!!

As far as Chef Mickey's, I have heard it is great but we haven't been there yet so not sure if I can say to pick one over the other!

Good luck.

Thanks! This is our first trip and DD2 can't wait to see Mickey Mouse and none of us like breakfast. I agree about not missing the parade. I have seen the electrical parade at DLR and DCA and I am excited for DD2 and DS7mon to see it. I think we will try the 8:30 time as Wishes is also at 8:00 and so is park closing. I hope people will stick around to see Wishes and we can't get out quickly.
