Help - Clearwater hotel

Help please!!

We are spending a week at Clearwater in August are are booked into the Holiday Inn Sunspree on Clearwater beach. I have just been checking the reviews on tripadvisor and have to say they were pretty negative. I am panicking a bit and thinking of trying to change to the Clearwater Beach hotel if I can get in.

Has anyone stayed at the Sunspree - I'd be really grateful for their opinion.

Think of it this way- people are a lot more likely to post on the likes of Tripadvisor if they've had a bad time, so you're always going to get more negative than positive reviews on such sites. Human nature dictates that if you receive bad service you tell 20 people, but if you receive good service, you only tell 3. Or something like that!

People I know who went there had a great time and loved the beach in particular.

I'm sure someone else on here can put your mind at rest!

Sorry, can't help with either the Clearwater Beach or HI Sunspree. Don't take too much stock from Trip Advisor - most reviews seem to be very picky from US posters.

I can recommend the Radisson Suites and Sandkey Hilton though.
Holler if you need any more info on either of these. They are in THE best location in Clearwater

Thanks for the replies. I know what you mean about people being more likely to post a negative experience than a good one - I hope that is all it is. It's just that I wouldn't want the sheer amount of planning that has gone into this holiday (my first time in Florida) to be ruined by staying in a dodgy hotel.

Anyway, I can't get into the Clearwater hotel now as it is fully booked so will have to keep my fingers crossed!
