Our family is trying something different this year only spending $25 per person & doing the White Elephant exchange. Everyone is an adult except a 15yo. I need ideas of non junk gifts...not giftcards.

Sherpa blanket, coffees, alcohol, chocoates tools- neat flashlights, electronics- think led light bulbs, browse Home Depot or Lowe's, interesting storage boxes with lots of compartments for nuts, bolts, etc. Nice grill tools, specialty salts,, marinades,, Bar B Q sauces, special olive oils, vinegars, kitchen hand soaps, fancy laundry detergent (see Buff City Soap), nice wooden box of teas, bath bombs, find your stuff tiles, kitchen or bath towels, bird feeder and seed, garden tools, solar lights, one of our fought over dirty Santa items was a squatty potty!

As seen on TV products, shark tank products, visit Bed Bath and Beyond for interesting household gadgets

Sports team or college swag

Use the Draw Name App and everyone enters an Amazon wishlist.

Bottle of wine and some fun snacks.
Starbucks tumbler and coffee
Fun candle, blanket & book
Bottle of sparkling wine, 2 glasses
Beautiful indoor plant
Disney board game
Cards of humanity

You could do different games for each person..

Cards Against Humanity
Apples to Apples
Exploding Kittens
Pandemic
etc.

Nice wine/alcohol for the adults, fancy soda for the teen.

I like the movie basket idea too; a couple dvds, microwave popcorn, movie candy boxes (those are $1 at Walmart or Dollar stores).

Yeti coffe mug or hydroflask water bottle?

  • cheese board, cheese slate, or cheese knives
  • sports or picnic blanket
  • portable charger/battery back-up
  • Merino wool socks
  • umbrella
  • packing cubes
  • favourite snacks and drinks, or specialty items like a quality olive oil, spice blend, or hot sauce
  • jigsaw puzzle
  • board games (SO MANY good ones that aren't Payday, Monopoly, or Sorry) or escape room style games (Box One by Neil Patrick Harris might be of interest. I can also vouch for the Thames & Kosmos series of Adventure Games (The Dungeon, Monochrome, etc.)
  • new dish towels or hand towels
  • baking stone
  • unique or useful kitchen gadgets (a good silicone spatula, Victorinox 4-Inch Swiss Classic Paring Knife, Microplane grater/zester, etc.)
  • a cookbook, puzzle book, colouring book, cartoons (Far Side, Calvin & Hobbes, etc.) or other book of interest
  • a special ice cream bowl, spoon, and sprinkles
  • reusable tote bags...the ones that can be scrunched up small, but hold a lot (many options on Amazon)
  • items that go with a person's hobbies (freeze-dried foods or trail mix if they are backpackers, gardening items for the gardener, aquascaping tools for the person with a fish tank, a dice rolling tray for the gamer, etc.)
  • Lifestraw, Adventure Medical Kit, emergency candle, small Leatherman, or other emergency items
  • portable stainless steel flatware set and drinking straws for people who eat take-out often or reusable produce bags for the person trying to reduce the amount of plastic they use
  • Vekkia Book Light Set with Charger
  • GRIPSTIC – The World’s Greatest Chip Clip (These were highly raved about on the Disboards awhile back.)
  • flameless candles
  • brain teasers like those from Hanayama, or books like Journal 29 or Montague Island (Master Theorem is great as well, but slightly above your $25 price point)
