I am going back and forth with all of the different options right now. I thought I had it narrowed down and then something else popped up, then I thought I had it again, and you get it....

Anyway, there is going to be 6 adults and 3 kids (one being an infant so it is really 8 people) in total and we have been looking at 3 separate rooms. So far here is what I have come up with:

POR - $1328
POFQ - $1389
Dolphin - $1507

Now I understand the limitations to the Dolphin being that it is not a Disney Resort and we are fine with that. So along with the $1507, we would have to rent a van to get us to and from the airport which would run us about $200 that we would split three ways. So that would bring the total to about $1570.

Now the one thing I can't figure out is parking. Do Disney Resorts only offer valet parking? I see there is a charge per day for valet parking, but see no mention of self-parking. Because I know there is a $15 charge for the Dolphin, but I am trying to figure out if that will be a wash if it is required at Disney Resorts if you have a car.

OK, now, all of that being said.....her is another idea. Given our large party, would it make sense to go for a Deluxe Villa? I ran the numbers real quick for SS and it came to like $3941 for the 7 nights so that is about $1314 per family, so that puts it cheaper than getting 3 separate rooms at any of the above hotels. It almost seems like a no brainer to go with the villa.

Is SS and Old Key West the cheapest villa's to get? Are there any other recommended villas that might be close in price? I doubt we would want to do SS (unless it is REALLY nice) because it may feel like we never left since my wife's family lives 30 minutes from the real Saratoga Springs it is modeled after.

Disney parking is free, so you would have to pay for parking only at the Dolphin.

Old Key West and SS are the cheapest Villas. I would recommend this, simply for space issues.

Hello

Yet another option for you would be to rent points from a dvc member. The going rate is usually around $10.00 per point.

A seven night stay in the following rooms in June would cost you.

3- Studio rooms in June 2012 with a lake view at the Bay Lake towers $ 4,509.
3- Studio rooms in June 2012 with a standard view at Saratoga Springs $ 3,600.
1 -2 bedroom in June 2012 with a standard view at Saratoga Springs $ 3,045.
Magical Express would be included.

I guess I don't fully understand all of the renting points thing. We are going May 5th through the 12th so I am not sure what that would do for the price.

What are the "downsides" for renting points? Because with your math it looks like that would save $900 for the 2 bedroom villa. Where is a good place for me to learn how that works?
