I'm traveling to WDW in May with my DH (34), mom (58), and aunt (67). I had originally planned to eat dinner on arrival night at Chef Mickey's. I've been rethinking that after reading some of the reviews on this board, as well as the fact that my aunt doesn't like loud restaurants...she'll go if we really want her to, but I 'm not sure if I want to!

Anyway, we've eaten at CP (lunch) and LTT for dinner but CP was a long time ago. Please give me your recommendations...I'm thinking of LTT because I really can't remember the food at CP...can anyone help?

:yay: :yay: :yay:

We've been to all three many times our personal favorite is Crystal Palace. We will be eating there 2x's on our Sept. trip. We went to LLT last trip and unfortunatly we had a bad experience ourselves so we are in no rush to go back. If you go to www.allearsnet.com you can see their menu items for all 3 places.

I haven't done LTT dinner, so I can't comment, but CP and CM are much better at breakfast than dinner, IMO. Have you thought about 1900 Park Fair for a better dinner buffet? That would be my choice. Second choice would be LTT, if you have park days to spare or AP's.

We did all three on our last trip. My DH likes CM - he loved the breakfast pizza, while I love CP because I'm a big pooh fan. Personally I didn't care for LTT, I didn't think the food there was that great. I already made 2 ps for CP (breakfast and dinner), and one for CM (breakfast) for our trip in Sept. :cool1: Both are loud places though, so you may perfer LTT, it's a little less noisy.

I have actually eaten dinner at all three places. All were great, but have different feel to them. CM is fun, loud and since it is a buffet, you will be walking back and forth to get food while looking for the characters. Food is pretty good, nothing beyond the typical buffet far though.
CP dining room is beautiful, also a buffet style. Different characters if you like Pooh and friends. Less noisy and I liked food choices better there.
LTT is my favorite for many reasons. The atmosphere is unique, the dining room is divided into smaller rooms and not as overwhelming as the others. The menu is like a Thanksgiving feast and the characters are fun. So my vote would be for LTT.

For adults, I recommend booking a later seating at CP. The food is wide ranging and more adult tastes oriented than CM or LTT. The characters also have great interaction as I'm sure they're excited to have slower crowds with adults. If you're in CP during spectro magic, you can see the floats as you eat.

I think my choice will be CP! We did eat at LTT but I just don't know if we'll be in mood for the food choices. At least at CP we can try some different things. We also don't have a Pooh character meal planned either. Thanks everyone!

My choice would be Crystal Palace. Although this restaurant is not quite either.

Chef Mickey is great if you like choas, there are a few seat in the upper room that are a little quieter. Food is OK.

I love the Liberty Tree Tavern but dislike the food so I've crossed that of my list.

***Seeing your taking your Aunt and Mother why not try 1900 Park Fare. This restaurant character buffet is one of the best. No choas and great food. Plus wonderful seating.***

The one thing that annoys me about Crystal Palace is how close they have their tables. They pack them in here. ( I've turned down many a table) They will try to seat a family of 5 at a 4 person table if you let them.

I prefer Chef Mickeys.. they do have some table that are not in the main dining room that are much quieter...

My vote is CP for dinner. I absolutely LOVED the food there. I was convinced by other posts on this board to book CM during the free dining, but I'll also be returning to CP (this time for lunch...hope it's as good at lunch time).
