HELP....Cheapest Rates??

Hi My name is Dian and I am trying to plan a trip Dec.17 to Dec.23.I have been reading these boards for a long time and it seems that everyone says you can get a better deal by buying all the things separatly, but I found a deal from Travelocity for $1731.80 which is cheaper than I could get doing it separate. My best friend is going with me and we want to stay in Pop Century. The flight seems to be very high. Am I doing something wrong or are the flights so high right now that the package is cheaper?This is last minute for me because I usually plan things WAY in advance. I feel as tho I need to hurry and make a decision. Dec. is coming FAST!! LOL I want to get this planned so I can sit back and enjoy the wait, or go crazy, whichever comes first.

Ultimate park hopper ticket
The only thing I think it doesn't have is the bus from the airport, but I can take care of that myself
When I tried to do all the different components separate, it was more than if I purchased it as a package from Disney. (Even with all the discounts I could find) I was just wondering if I'm doing something wrong because I've read that most people can get cheaper deals if they do all the work themselves.

ok, after some research this is what I found....

2 roundtrip airfare from TUL to MCO on NWA 732.78
one roundtrip towncar(seats 4) from MCO to WDW back to MCO 100.00 including tip
2 nights pop century for 2 adults non discounted(dates aren't eligable) 122.68
4 nights pop century at discounted rate for 2 adults 245.36
2 ultimate park hoppers for length of stay 652.00

for a grand total of $1852.82 including transfers to and from hotel......

Flights in December are often very expensive (from Canada, I'm looking at around $850 CAD) because its so close the holiday season.
