Hi. Just realized that I'm going to be at Disneyland on Friday...during lent...means no meat or poultry. Does anyone have any dining suggestions? I was figuring that i was going to get to ditch the diet and have chicken fingers!!! Well that's out. What are my other options without dining reservations.

There's lots of counter service places that have salads, and several that have vegetarian pasta choices, like Redd Rockett's and Plaza Inn. I like the salads at Redd Rockett's. Napolini in Downtown Disney also has some non-meat pasta and pizza (Redd Rockett's and Pizza Oom Mow Mow also have cheese pizza by the slice.)

There's vegetarian offerings at the Mexican food places, too - Rancho del Zocalo and Cocina Cucamonga, and also Tortilla Jo's Taqueria in Downtown Disney.

There's fish and chips at Stage Door Cafe (DL) and Farmer's Market (DCA).

There's menus on allearsnet.com if you want to check them out to give you some ideas. http://allearsnet.com/dlr/din/menu/menus.htm

I may not be much help, but I will try. I have never been to DL to know what they offer but when I am out & about, here are somethings that I look for....
The obvious: Fish, Fish Sandwich, or Tuna
Then the smaller, but "healthy" choices would be: fruit bowl, salad, baked potato, soft pretzel w/cheese, just french fries, cheese pizza - ok I am getting a little bit further than just healthy. But it seems doable.
Maybe just have a really big breakfast & then only 1 meal later in the day w/some snacks in between. You know healthy snacks like ice cream, cotton candy, etc. (ha-ha):rotfl:
Hope something helps!:confused3

Hi there... If you're at DCA, try whitewater snacks.. They have salads and the BEST egg salad sandwiches!! YUMMO!

Have a great time!

Clam chowder in a bread bowl at Royal Street Veranda in NOS. Its yummy!

The Cheese monte cristo, pasta at Pizza Port just ask them for no chicken, it's still fabulous, potato cheddar soup at Carnation Cafe is awesome, fish and chips and cheese sticks at Stage Door Cafe, Broccoli and Cheese breadbowl at Wharf in DCA, the bean burrito at the Mexican in DCA.

You will find there are many many options, and most of the nicer restaurants offer lots of seafood and fish dishes. Plus there's always cheese pizza!!
