Help can't print transfers.

Several people on this thread and I worked very hard to make the designs for my up coming trip. I knew my printer was not recommended for printing transfers. I thought I could make it work anyway. Well I have tried and the prints turn out awful, color not quite right, lines through the picture. I then tried to order them on line and the photos look to small and when I enlarge them warning comes up letting me know the shirts may not look right. I also do not like the price for them. I was hoping I could pay someone for the supplies and their time and could help me out. If any one would be willing to print the designs for me, please IM me. Thanks a lot.

Once I figured that out I didn't have a problem. So, check to make sure you have the right type of transfer for your printer.

Don't know if this might be an option- I found an ink jet HP printer Friday at Big Lots for $26. Printed off my first transfers today and they turned out beautifully!

I was worried that I was going to end up with a junky printer, but so far so good! Good luck

Once I figured that out I didn't have a problem. So, check to make sure you have the right type of transfer for your printer.

I have the correct paper. The printer just doesn't seem to be able to handle that much detail or color and the result is lines through the photo. I even tried the head cleaner option that is recommended when you get lines. Still not printing anything I would want on a shirt.

re the problem, Epson has this in its FAQs which OP already tried:

Q: The EPSON CX3200 sounds as though it is printing, but nothing prints or the printout is light or has lines in it. Why?

A: Make sure the print head nozzles are not clogged. You may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines. When you don't turn on your EPSON CX3200 for a long time, the print quality can decline. It's a good idea to turn on your EPSON CX3200 at least once a month to maintain good print quality.

If you've reviewed all the FAQs on Epson's web site for quality issues, then I'd suggest you call Epson's technical support if someone here cannot help.

Did you try printing at best quality. It could be worth a try.

I know that transfer paper instructions say to use 'normal' settings, but I have had to, at times, print mine at high quality in order to not get the horizontal lines in my design. (especially when a design has a very colored background)

Just my own experience, I have no idea about printers.

The HP Paper specifically says to use "BEST" quality (I just printed my first transfer 2 minutes ago so I'm sure of that step). (Of course, HP wants to sell INK TOO! )

Actualy this is one thing I did not do. I read on this board last year that it would put to much ink on the transfer and would make the colors run. I will give it a try though.

• Have you turned the printer off and waited overnight to allow any dried ink to soften and then cleaned the print head again?
• If so, can you check the solutions beginning on page 91 of your printer basics manual?

PS: While printing my 3rd transfer (with brand new cartridges inserted just before I started), I'm now having problems with my black ink cartridge (I have an HP printer) so I'm stuck going through HP's troubleshooting steps. I can truly relate! It's so frustrating!

I think I will get a new color cartridge. I think something is wrong with the one I got.

boy that could be the SIMPLE answer! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it solves the problem.

BTW, once I replaced my black (defective) ink cartride, I was back in the printing business! May it work for you too! Good luck and please post back how you make out with this solution!
