We're going to the World June 8-16th, staying at CSR and we will have a rental car. We arrive at 4:15 on our first day and will have 7 full days. This is not our first visit, but it will be the first time my kids have seen the new Fantasyland. They're 10 and 13. Here's what I have planned so far and where I need help:

W 8th - arrive 4:15 - should we go to MK (has EMH) with 3 FP+, EPCOT, Disney Springs?
H 9th - MK with LTT lunch
F 10th - AK with TH brunch
S 11th - HS with SF lunch
U 12th - I'm tempted to have a day off here, maybe water park and Disney Springs or EP PM? Or do I want a 3rd day at MK? Maybe late start and MK PM?
M 13th - HS with 50s PT dinner
T 14th - MK with BOG dinner
W 15th - EP with TD or LC dinner and Illuminations!
H 16th - early departure, 7:30am!

Would appreciate any and all thoughts on my plan!

on the 12th I'd personally go with a water park day if money wasn't an issue. For your arrival day, are you arriving at CSR at 4:15 or your plane arriving at the airport then?

How many days on your ticket? do you have hopper?

We arrive at MCO at 4:15, so I'm thinking if we did a park, it would be like 7-10. Tempted by MK EMH, but I don't want to blow our planned RD the next day.

Right now I have 7 day tickets, but can change that. No hoppers, but I've given that some thought as well.

Personally, I'd go for a day off on the 12th. It's about halfway through the trip and could do some good. We always try to take a day off in the middle of our trip. On that day, we'll sleep in, lay around most of the morning or early afternoon, then maybe resort hop around the monorail or go to downtown Disney. Just a thought though.

I would do Disney Springs on arrival night, they have some fun entertainment, nice to walk around and see all the changes, maybe check out the cupcake vending machine.

Thanks! This is the way I was leaning - water park/off day and Disney Springs on arrival. Will think more on that.

If you don't want to buy water park tickets for your off day CSR has a pretty great pool with a big slide, nice pool bar, etc. we enjoy spending pool days there as well.

I don't like to plan much for arrival days. Too many unknowns. :)

I agree with the PP's, Disney Springs sounds like a perfect thing to do in the evening!

On arrival day we always like to take it easy. Head to Disney Springs or resort hop on the monorail and have a character dinner. It helps to kind of unwind after the travel.
I think your mid trip break is a great idea. We try and do that on longer trips. helps to recharge. Water parks are a great idea or just enjoy the days at your resort pool and a nice dinner at a resort. The only suggestion I would have is to get a park hopper. We like to spend most of the day in a park, take a two hour break and then close out another park.

Agree! That's one of the reasons I picked this hotel for my crew. I love hanging by the pool and enjoying the pool bar! :drinking1

I do love that we can book Raglan Road with OpenTable for this night.

Should we do a water park and dinner at a resort or at a park? I'm wondering if I should do dinner in EPCOT to get us a little more time there. That would give us a day and an evening. We love the WS, but as far as rides go, it's not our favorite. I hate Soarin' and won't ride Mission Space.

I would do EPCOT on your off day. One of the days there could be just FW and the other day could be WS. Take the time to walk around the different countries and see the movies or attractions in Mexico, China, Canada, France, and America.
