Help buying from Groupon Orlando?

Hi,
I am trying to buy a deal from Groupon Orlando. I am entering the villa address where we are staying but it will not let me progress to the next page. It seems to be an issue with the credit card I am using being registered in the UK. Has anyone managed to buy recently from Groupon Orlando? Can you shed any light on where I am going wrong?

The credit card will assume fraud if you don't use your registered address in the UK and block the payment I would think.

Either call your card company and explain that you wish this transaction authorised or if you have a FiarFX or similar card, link it to your PayPal account and use that. Are you paying through PayPal? I have had almost no issues with that with non UK transactions, but several problems trying to put a card through directly.

I am trying to pay using my FairFX card. I will try linking it to Paypal then and see if that works.

2tiggies can you advise? When I select the deal I want on Groupon Orlando it doesn't seem to give an option of paying via paypal. How have you manged this? Thanks

Its a while since I did it but I think I used a credit card with my UK address but selected Florida for state. Although its so long since they could have changed now.

Can you try closing your browser and opening and attempting it again? I can't think off the bat how to do it, but am having difficulty actually getting into the site. We have been having some issues with our computers today so not sure if it's website related or our own internal problems stopping me from attempting a dummy purchase

Unless the seller is not allowing paypal as an option?

ETA again: I have sent a question through their customer support team. I don't recall how I did it last time but I'm almost positive I did it via paypal as I described above. I will post the response for the benefit of others even if you already have it sorted by then.

Not sure if you managed eventually but I just got a reply from Groupon Orlando to my query about using non US registered cards. They do support countries outside the USA, but not all, from the looks of things. I would imagine the UK is included but I can't remember my login for the Orlando Groupon and would have to get that at home to try it. I stupidly didn't specifically mention I was in the UK in my query but here is the reply:

Unfortunately, our system is only able to process credit cards from certain areas outside of the US. On both the purchase page and in the credit cards section of your "My Account" page, there is a "State/Province" drop-down menu. If your card is registered in a country or state that is not currently on this list, then you will not be able to use it for a Groupon purchase.

We are continually adding valid billing locations, so please check back soon! We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Why are you putting your Villa as your address rather than your UK address. When I've done Groupon Deals in the USA I've just used my address but it was 2012 when I last did one.

The drop box on the address only allows US or Canada, no option for UK.

Just had a look at my past history and credit cards I have attached to Groupon, I originally had one that expired in 2012, for that one I used our home address but used our hotel zip code and state. For the current one I used Florida in drop box but home address and post code.

Ok so I'm nosy. Did you buy an experience? What did you get?

I'm watching and hoping for a parasailing deal for our dates. Just miss them by this offer but if one comes out in the next few weeks I should be good to go with it. Booking it anyway but a discount is a bonus

ha ha yeah I'm nosy too!
No nothing as exciting as para sailing! I had wanted the DTD balloon flight but was too late but I just bought a Ci ci's pizza voucher. $14 for all you can eat buffet for 4 including drinks. It was at a particular location that is handy, as my daughter and I are volunteering at Give Kids The World next Thursday (can't believe I am saying that!) and it is right next to it so convenient for dinner first.
