I feel so bad for him, but I want to laugh at him too. :rolleyes1 He was so excited last evening about trying out some new cheese melting experiment on the steaks we BBQ'ed. When I brought the steaks in, he came running full speed into the kitchen and smashed his little toe on the door jamb.:headache: We both heard the crunch and I knew something was wrong, but BF just shrugged it off. I checked before he left for work this AM and it was puffy and black. He still shrugged it off even tho he was really hurting. After a couple of hours at work, he went to the CentraCare place there and they told him it was broken. :sad2:

I've never had a broken bone or dealt with anyone that has a broken bone. Right now he is resting with his foot elevated on 2 pillows and he took some ibuprophen. There really isn't much I can do for him from what I have read on the internet.

Besides taping his little toe to the next one for work, any suggestions or advice on how to help him? I am clueless when it comes to broken bones!!

Don't step on it.:scared1: Seriously, my husband has broken several toes and somehow they always end up under my feet.:confused3 :rotfl:

Ha, I did the exact same thing on Thursday! Well, not exact. I stubbed my little toe, and broke it, on the coffee table and the pain was excruciating. My toe is currently taped up and I'm taking ibuprophen and the like. My grandmother broke her toe a year or two ago and the doctor said there was nothing she could do but wait. So that's what I'm doing; walking on it [not like that's so much of a choice!(with a bizarre limp but it happens)], trying to sleep normally with it, and not really doing too much hoping it gets better. Best of luck to your boyfriend!

ps...don't feel too badly about laughing, between pain winces, I was laughing at myself! There's nothing like telling people you broke a toe smashing it on a coffeetable!

Oh that hurts! I broke my little toe a few years ago. It seemed like it took forever to feel normal again. I taped it and popped lots of ibuprophen!

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do for broken toes. Just tape them and try to stay off the foot and keep it elevated. Broken toes usually start to feel better in a couple weeks. Just keep it taped to the neighboring toe.

hidmickey:myantidrug - I hope you are doing OK! Your tag made me LOL! That was the best season!!

Ouch! Things happen. Give him some TLC, tell him to tread carefully :tiptoe: and get well. :o
