Help Booking Southwest

Like a lot of other people, I am waiting for Southwest to release more fall dates. I need Nov. 5 to 11th. Anyway, I've never done this online before and I am kinda confused about the different booking options that are available: Refundable, Restricted, Advance Purchase, Fun Fare, Promotional Fare, Internet One-Way. Too many choices!

I want to know exactly what I want when they do release the new dates, soooooo..... Does anyone have advice or suggestions for booking my flights???

Basiclly, the different fare groups have different fare restrictions as far as advanced purchasing, cancellation policies, etc...So, the cheaper fares have less flexibility and the more expensive fares have greater flexibility. If you are simply doing a family trip down to the world, and dont think you will have to rebook or change your dates, take the cheapest fare you can get. Be sure to click on the different fare groups to read the restrictions as far as cancellations, etc...
