Help booking for next year

Hello,

We are thinking of taking a trip next year during free dining. I was on the case in April waiting to book but it all fell by the wayside due to pregnancy complications.

Ideally we wanted a studio at SSR, however I don't quite understand the pre registering this year. Was hoping to book online and get cash back, is there any way to do this?

Also when I put a booking on the website a studio at SSR is more expensive than a room at Wilderness Lodge, is that the correct price or is it discounted when you phone?

This year they are not confirming bookings until 11 months out for OKW/SSR but they are taking pre-registrations which have to be done by phone which means no cash back.

I would say that if the price for SSR is more than WL then there probably isn't any studios left for those dates.

Best bet is to give them a call and ask for your dates

i pre-registered for SSR for 2017.... I sure hope that when that 11 month mark rolls around, they actually do confirm us..

From the small amount I did read they were telling people on the phone that they wouldn't oversell and if it did happen they would find an alternative but as far as I know they were pretty sure it wouldn't be an issue

while i was looking for that answer, i noticed that OKW two bedrooms are now available for the period we'll be there..
when i booked, OKW 2 br rooms weren't available, only SSR - so i booked SSR (or rather, pre-registered)
i originally wanted OKW, but i guess i'll stick with SSR now that i've 'pre-registered' for it..
it'll be interesting trying something new....

I've not stayed at OKW but we really enjoyed SSR. Only the two of us, well 3 now so we had a studio.

We're looking at CBR this time if there's no discount on SSR. Any idea on when Thanksgiving crowds thin out?

but if you're talking about free dining, keep in mind that CBR has the quick service plan, while SSR and OKW have the table service dining plan...

also, did you go into the SSR/OKW link to see what was offered? was it the studio or a bigger unit (1 bedroom/2 bedroom/etc)

when you call on the phone, sometimes they have availability that doesn't show on the internet...

That's true, we would probably upgrade dining. I haven't called em yet, hoping to di it this evening but gotta wait on a phone call from the vets. Poorly cat and premature baby!

It gives me an option for a Studio at SSR but it's coming out at over £3000 for 10 days before tickets.

and how much is CBR with the upgrade?
if you like CBR, and it's about the same, then i could definitely see staying at CBR...
in fact, DD stayed at POR last year on free dining with an upgrade...
it worked out a bit more, but she loves POR so much, and it has a wonderful food court (which OKW doesn't), so she felt it was worth it...

I also asked about pre registering and she said the best way she can describe it is that you're 99.9% guaranteed to get it and that it's always been done this way but now they have to be transparent about it

that's a pretty big difference in price....you can do a lot with those £700!!!
does the studio have a balcony?
i've never stayed in an OKW studio, so i'm not familiar with the layout...

The Studios do have balconies and the kitchenette would have been handy too but not for £700! So CBR it is then, would have gone for POFQ as we loved it there but it's more expensive and it'll be good to try another resort

i've never stayed at CBR, but everyone i know who does, absolutely loves it!
i'm sure you'll have a magical time!!

That looks a great saving, I have stayed and loved cbr you won't be disappointed
