help!- Birthday suggestions

We are headed to Disney next month for my dd 4th birthday. I have some questions that I need help with!

1. Can I get a birthday button at the WL or do I need to wait until I get to AK- if so where do I get it there?

2. Can I bring along wrapped presents in my checked bags? or should I wrap them there- but then I have to bring scissors.

3. Any ideas on what you have done to celebrate birthdays there. I have it noted on our dining ADRs and will tell when we check in.

We celebrated our DS's 1st birthday at DW last year, and it was such a great experience, our DD, who is 13 wants to celebrate hers there. We started with breakfast at the Crystal Palace--They went over the top with streamers all over
our table, etc. Then , we had dinner at Chef Mickey's. our 4 kids had a ball, and are still talking about it!

You can bring a wrapped gift or wrap w/giftbag and tissue. You may want to lock the bag w/a ziptie so it is secure, yet easy to inspect if necessary.

Here are some birthday ideas:

* you can make or order a gift basket and surprise dd w/it -- maybe it can be a welcoming birthday gift from Mickey or a favorite princess!

* take dd shopping and let her pick out her own gift -- kids love to shop and pick out a special something.

* you can order a cake w/ your adrs at the restaurant

* Does dd know about the birthday adr? to make it a surprise, make up an invitation from Mickey/character and "deliver" to dd at the resort to invite her to a birthday meal.
