help! Best price on WII U?

My DD15 wants one, not sure WHY well yes I do know why..one specific warrior game that only is played on this system. Any good price out there for the WII U? I saw it at TRU for 199 but it is skylanders so not sure if that is alright or not. Hyrule Warrior I think is what she wants to play!

The $199 version is only 8gb. The $299 version is 32gb. There do not seem to be any really good deals on them. I've been keeping my eyes open because DD wants one. Best Buy had a bundle with a couple of extra games that was a good deal on their Black Friday, but it sold out online. pretty quick. I got that one and figured if I found anything better I would return it. I guess it is a big seller this Christmas, because a few days ago when I checked our Toys R Us, they only had one left in stock. I didn't realize the wii U was that popular as far as gaming systems go.

I just got it from target yesterday, $299 with Mario 3d and Nintendo land and got a $25 gift card, 5% off with my red card plus I had a $10 off coupon with a $150 dollar purchase. So I paid around $250 for the 32 gig. This is the best deal I could find they did have refurbished ones on the Nintendo site for $200 but there sold out and it only comes with Nintendo land and you had to pay shipping so it was around the same price as target and I got an extra game. I'm sure target will run a similar deal closer to christmas. I am really disappointed in the wii u deals this year I thought there would be a lot more. I probably wouldn't even have considered getting a wii u but my son loves all the new games coming out that he can only play on the wii u, smash, Mario kart 8 ect.

Oh that is a good one! Mine was $359 and had smash brothers and donkey kong, but I would rather have paid a little less and gotten Mario Kart. That was one of our favorites on the old wii.

THanks everyone!!! I talked to DD and she admitted to wanting this for only ONE game....so she decided it wasn't worth it for her. I am still tempted to surprise her with it thinking I can get 10 percent gift cards this morning and I have the 5 percent pharmacy reward....plus the 10.00 coupon....Sigh....seems crazy for one game right? She is almost 16

Sorry for the dumb question but do these 299 bundles say at Target etc come with more than one controller or is that extra too?

As far as I know it doesn't come with any remotes. We are still using the ones we had for our wii.

Thanks so do you mean to say if I buy the 299 target bundle that they have 3 of us can play immediately using the OLD remotes from my OLD Wii, not WII U remotes etc. I guess I am trying to get this as cheap as possible b/c she is 16 and is interested in only a few games for this...so do I need to buy anything else other than the 299 start up cost (games excluding of course)

Yes. DS got a Wii U in January for his birthday. I haven't purchased any new accessories and the kids have played it a ton.

My dd is a college freshman and kids at school are playing the WiiU all the time. Both she and and my 21 yr old ds have mentioned wanting one.

We got a refurbished one through Nintendo for $200. We got a Wii like that before and were quite happy with it. They are currently out of refurbished, but they come and go in stock frequently.

I have this same question. I let the $25 gift card at Target go because I wanted to see what Black Frida would bring. I want to kick myself.

walmart today's ad... Mario kart bundle 299, with a $50 walmart gift card. My son wanted Mario Kart, so this was the perfect bundle for me! I bought it a couple of weeks ago, but went in this morning and they allowed me to exchange so I could get the gift card. Best deal I've found!!!!
