HELP!! AVIS Rental Coupon Code "USA"

Does anyone know if this coupon code still works and is honored with Avis? I used this coupon code on their site in conjunction with my double upgrade coupon from the Entertainment book and it does give me a better rate, however, I don't know what this USA code really is...is it something that I have to give to someone...can I just use it to secure the $30/day rate?? We're driving from Orlando to the Miami port, so I have to book with AVIS since they have a drop off site at the port. Please help!!!

Thank you Gail, for that *suggestion*. As a matter of fact, I had already called and of course, the highly-enthusiastic employee on the phone didn't know anything about that code. Since I had read about that code initially either on this board or mousesavers, I thought I'd give it a shot and ask for help from anyone that had used it. Silly me. Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, the USA code was for Dollar Car Rentals.

I used USA in the past at avis.
I dont remember where it came from, but I never had a coupon or anything. They never asked for one either.

I went and tried your code USA on the Avis site and I screamed. My price was half of what it was coming up in the past. I was getting a price of $1200 on a SUV rental in NY, with only 1400 miles included for a 17 day rental. I put in the USA code and the price was $630 and with unlimited miles (almost unheard of in the NY Metro area). I would love to know where this code came from and if I need any kind of paperwork, or membership card. I thank you so much .

The USA rate code doesn't seem to work. I was able to enter it along with an AWD code and got a rate that was about $85 less than with just the AWD code, but when I contacted Avis, only the AWD rate was on their computer. If you read the details on the reservation confirmation page, they say that just because a code has been accepted online doesn't mean that it is valid for your location or rental period (very poor customer service tool, if you ask me). Don't want anyone to get any nasty surprises at the end of their vacation.

Spotted this and i see you are headed to Miami from Orlando and i'm assuming it is for a cruise. When are you going and did you get a good rate ? My children want us to go on a 3 or 4 day cruise to try it out. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.
