I agree with using the reddish brown shades instead of using ones marked "auburn." From my experience, the auburn shades are usually mostly red pigment.
Some tips: red is the quickest haircolor shade to fade, even if it's permanent color. In about 2 weeks the red shades begin to look a little washed out.
It's also the hardest to remove if you were to use color oops or lighten your hair. Basically the hair would turn a brassy golden color and you'd have to dye it again.
