kay, so I waited until the last minute to do this, and my audition is tomorrow. So advice/help is appreciated ^-^ thankuu so much!!

I have a musical theatre group at my High School, and my audtion for it is tomorrow! I need an audition song, and I need to get sheet music.

I need to sing 16 bars of a musical theatre song.

but still not sure. Also, any advice for my audition, and do u know any websites whr i could print off free sheet music??

also, you can change the key it comes in to fit your voice better.

What voice part are you/what kind of roles are you looking for? That would help me figure out some other audition songs for you. If you do My New Philosophy just make sure you can ACT it.

i get all my sheet music from musicnotes.com too. now is this an ensemble/year-round audition or is it for a specific show, cause that changes things. if it's for a year-round company i'd go with a song you know well and a song you sing well. if it's for a specific show i'd go with a song along the lines of whats in the musical, i.e. rent=> next to normal. a sondheim for a sondheim. etc... my new philosophy is a tough audition song because it is very childish and hard to sound mature on it. if you are aiming for a younger part them go for it, but since it's for high school, sounding older is better, there are a lot more adult parts then juvenile ones. i'f philosophy fits the style you need , then i'd check out THe little mermaid, legally blonde, addams family, hairspray, any musical on the modern side or with lighter depth. i'd avoid wicked, les mis, rent, phantom, secret garden, miss siagon; musicals where songs are more intense and on the darker side.

So, what i auditioned for was a group at my school that does songs from musicals and performs them, and they also do different musicals within the group.
So, anyways, I made it!! supa excited ended up doing my new philosophy thanks for everyone's help
