We are going to WDW in August and are looking for new dinner experiences. What restaurant would you recommend and why, EXCLUDING the following places: Rose & Crown, San Angel, Tappanaki and Canada. We've done those and enjoyed them all.

There are 6 of us -- 4 kids are 14, 12, 9 and 3.

Thanks!
Gregg

p.s. how is the Gardden Grill for dinner?

The Bergarten s fun..It's not fine dinng but the food is good and so is the settnig and the entertainment

We have always had great service & good food at Chefs de France-kids were 4 & 7. Kids have also enjoyed Coral Reef. And have you thought about doing different CS around the World Showcase our kids have liked that also.

I just read a good review on 9 Dragons in China. Then there is Alfredos in Italy..Chefs de France and the Bistro place in France and Beirgarten in Germany. I think out of all of those if I could choose Id choose Alfredos but thats cause Ive always wanted to go but keep getting out voted! I hear the singing waiters are great and the ambience just seems to cozy and I love italian food..

Guess I read this as TS- If that is the case I would recommend Coral Reef, A beautiful restaurant, fabulous food (often our favorite of the trip!) and we have always had great service.

thanks for the responses so far. Now that you've all given me input, i do remember being at the berigarten before (NYE 1999 though) and i wasn't impressed with the food at all. We have been to the Coral Reef too, but again it was over 6 years ago. I remember the food not being all that great.

Have either of these places had any major changes since early 2000?

Right now I'd say Alfredos is in the lead (with me anyway)!

Thanks again everyone

Can't comment on Chefs b/c I haven't been there yet, but we have ADRs for August. Many posters RAVE about this restaurant. The only resounding negative I've heard about Alfredo's is that the tables are close together. I'd love to try both, but I don't think we have enough park days!!

We had lunch at Chefs for the first time a few weeks ago and I wish we had eaten there much sooner. It was wonderful!

We really like Biergarten (& Rose & Crown- but you listed that).

I was also going to suggest Chef's De France. it's very family friendly yet excellent food and service in a casual but somehow rather elegant setting.

FYI Bistro has no high chairs, no childrens menu, and a dress code. Probably not a good choice for Gregg's family.
