I breastfed DS for 4 years and am 16 months into bf'ing DD, and I was always told by my midwife that Tylenol is preferable to Advil...so that's what I've always done.
but baby was much younger and would have slept a lot anyway. I think it was something with codine. Definately think it passed into milk. Really, I think it's hard not for it to pass along at least a trace.
And before anyone bashes me...3 c-sections and all 3 kids are fine years later.

Why would anyone bash you? It's a trade off. Sure it would be great if no one ever broke a leg while nursing and had to take pain meds, or ever had nursing problems and had to give formula, but that's not the way the world works. You do what you have to do, just know the risks and benefits.
