Help and suggestions needed

We have been lucky to book a very last minute trip across the water leaving on the 11/18. We didn't think we would get a holiday this year, but our circumstances have changed and so the planning is going into overdrive. We got a great deal on our flights and the 1st week of the holiday is planned - now the problems start - we wanted to visit WDW from the 11/26 - 12/4 BUT can't seem to get availability at any resort for the last 2 nights. I'm just gutted - we might be able to get the Swan or Dolphin, but confess to being put off by the negative reviews - even although i'm a nurse in the UK and hopefully would be eligable for the discount. We really wanted to do 3 at AKL then 3 at WL followed by the 1st visit to the Poly - but no joy - any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, Where in Scotland are you from. I have lived near Troon, and also in Arbroath.

I am in WDW in early december and could get no availability, so i tried www.disney.co.uk site and they had availability that i couldn't get by booking through disney.com for the poly. I know they also had availability for the AKL for my dates, arriving 7th December, so maybe you will get lucky for yours.

Don't give up hope - rooms always become available - booking direct through disney in america, they will hold a room for people for two weeks without a deposit, which does block up a lot of rooms temporarily. Do check the uk site though. I don't think the swan or dolphin would be the end of the world tho - they look v nice and you would get a good discount.

I would not be at all discouraged to stay @ Swan or Dolphin. The beds are wonderful. I do not know about the nurse discount for UK residents. I doubt that there are any rooms left at the nurse rate.


GJood luck and I think that you will enjoy either of the resorts. We spent a few days at the Swan last Christmas.

we are currently in Livingston, but are moving across the Forth on Friday - thus the extra funds from the sale of the house! DH has just come off the phone to Disney, so have managed to book 3 nts at AKL then 2 at Poly, but then stuck for the last 3 - I still seem to get the discounted rate for the Swan or Dolphin, so may just go for it - surely the location must be hard to beat near Epcot. When are your dates and what are your plans - we fly home via LGW on the 4/12.

If you'd like a monorail resort try the Contemporary. Im certain there is availabilty...
