Help! Am I overthinking?

My kids (7, 4, & 1) have decided that they would rather renew their Disney AP’s instead of receive Christmas/Birthday presents from their parents again this year. I had booked what I thought was going to be our last AP trip for MLK weekend in a 1B at the Riviera - basically just because I wanted to check it out and figured we’d likely never see 40% off again. I would pull my 7yo out of school on fri & would only miss one day of work. (Bank holiday)

Now that the 2020 AP passholder discounts have dropped and I can actually sit and think about a trip, I’m torn between our original plan or going from Jan 1-5/6 which is still Christmas break for us. GF has availability and would be the same price as my current booked stay for Riv. Or... I could stay Club Level at Yacht & get the extra fast passes. Or we could stay at AKLwhich my children still say is their fav. (We’ll be at Pop/Poly in two weeks).
We’ve traveled on 9-10 crowd levels so it doesn’t phase me... my kids also have no shame in staying at ASSp when we can get it for $40 on Priceline.

What would you do?

Personally I'd pick the Riviera simply because that discount is amazing and probably won't see it again. Have you stayed at the GF or YC before? If so then I'd definitely stay at the RR but if not I'd pick which parks you're going to be at most and stay there. I feel like since it's only a few days I'd stay closer to the parks than at the AKL where you could rest a lot more. But that's me.

We’ve never stayed at GF. Our stay in two weeks is our first on the monorail ever as a splurge with credit card points at the poly.

Yacht Club is probably the resort we’ve stayed at the most besides Pop, but we’ve never done club level.

I agree with the RR discount - heck, I don’t think I could even get a 1 BV anywhere that cheap.

I think a part of me is nostalgic because the trip that got me hooked on Disney was a free dining package CBR in early Jan when my oldest was 4 and the Christmas lights were all still up and it was so magical.

If you are fairly new to this forum, probably a good idea to change your screen name to something other then what appears to be your real name.
