Please help. My husband called and upgraded our dining plan and now none of the FP+ show on MDE. I called and the CM told me that the person who upgraded our reservation did not bring the tickets over so our FP were lost. She expressed regret but said she couldn't help other than to try and make new reservations for us. The problem is that there is now no longer any availability for Anna and Elsa. I had one at 9 am on our MK day. Is there really nothing they can do; I woke up at midnight on the 60 day out mark to make sure we got that FP, and now it's just gone. Good grief. Does anyone know how or if those FP can be retrieved. The CM said she even got her manager to try to no avail. Please, please let me know if anyone knows anything about this.

Sorry to hear about that. I don't think there's anything else you can do. If you printed it out or have a screenshot on your smartphone I would show the CM at the FP line that and explain your situation. They may admit you anyway since the system is so new and has these kinds of glitches.

Keep trying to get the FP though because i hear of a lot of people getting it that way. I have no evidence to confirm this, but I feel like they release FPs in phases so you may find an open slot if you keep trying.

If all else fails, get there at rope drop and go straight to the line. Even if it won't be as fast as FP, it has got to be the next fastest way to do it.

That's awful! Try calling Disney IT and see if they can help you - 407-939-7765.

I would call back Disney and try to escalate your issue. As far as I would be concerned this is their error and they need to fix it.

We called IT and they could not retrieve our old FP. I have now made new ones for most of the others, but there is nothing for Anna and Elsa. The IT guy told my husband he would but a note in our file that explained this was a Disney error and maybe guest services would work with us on the day we get there. I am still so upset because we no longer have the perfect times for all the rides we want (that I woke up at midnight to get), and there is no certainty about the A&E meet. I wonder if calling back when it's not a holiday would yield better results.

I would call back again, or talk to them when you are there. Have a list of your fp+ times and say you want them reinstated or little slips of paper that you can hand to the CMs to get in the fast pass lines. Of course, state it nicely but firmly.

It seems like they fix stuff all the time and should be able to do this as well.

This is the second time today I have pointed out that I never had a paper FP disappear once I picked it up at a machine.

What a pathetic mess they have made this for you. They had NO business making this high tech if it didn't work at least as well as the old paper FP system.

I'm so sorry this happened for you. I hope they are able to work something out for you. But a friend of mine was told that Guest Service could take care of a FP problem for her, but in the end there was nothing they could do if there wasn't capacity for them somewhere. I could see them maybe issuing an "any attraction" FP. But I could also see those "any attraction" FPs start excluding A/E.

I know we had an issue at rope drop once with our tickets not working at the turnstiles at DHS. We were the first ones there that morning but got sidelined to GS to fix the issue. They "handled" it by giving us an "any attraction" FP good on any ride but the one we were there early to do...... TSMM.

I hope you'll post back here after your trip and let us know how it works out. In the mean time, I'd probably email guest services and explain to them how badly they bungled you upgrading and spending more money with them.

I would call and email anyone and everyone until someone can help you. I am sorry this happened! I would be pretty unhappy!

First, I'm very sorry that this happened to you and I hope that they do something to make it right. It is so frustrating to do everything they ask you to do with planning every detail of the trip and then something they do causes those plans to fail, I'm angry for you

Second, thank you for reporting this. We are adding the dining plan this upcoming weekend for our trip that starts on May 2nd. I would have never even thought about how it would or could affect our FP+ choices- I mean why on earth should that even be an issue that you would have to think about. I will be certain to let the CM I'm on the phone with know to be sure that everything is transferred correctly. I will also have the print outs of our FP+ times just in case.

Here's hoping you have a wonderful trip in spite of this happening :wizard:

OP........ Lots of reports of additional A/E spots opening up. Please go check and see if you can get some! :yay:

Just checked FP+ and Anna and Elsa are now available!! Go get them!

They must have shaken some more openings out when other people changed their dining plans! :thumbsup2

They will not honor screenshot's of FP+. If you read this article from Inside the Magic, the CM's are saying it is too easy to forge a screenshot.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. I hope you escalate this up the ladder. Disney management needs to know about issues like this!
I hope you are able to secure another A&E FP+.

:rotfl2: I know..... I just posted on another thread that they are probably redistributing all the ones they cancelled on other people! At this point it's every man for himself though. :thumbsup2

This is the second time today I have pointed out that I never had a paper FP disappear once I picked it up at a machine.

We had a member of our group lose one. Of course, it was her fault and not Disney, but it still sucked for her when the rest of us went to go on a ride and she had to stay behind and wait for us to finish. I'm sure people losing paper FP happened quite a bit.

To the OP- hope you are able to book Anna and Elsa. That really stinks it is Disney error and they aren't able to just go in and rebook them for you. Even if they can't retrieve your old ones, it seems like they should be able to override and book them! (Of course, I'm sure if they did that it would end up being abused by people claiming to have lost their FP to the system...dishonesty ruins so much.)

Losing one isn't the same as having one just disappear. One was within your control, one wasn't.

So sorry. How would upgrading your dining do this though? Did you move from a RO to a PKG? Everyone should remember to stress to the CM on an modification that you need modifications completed on the same travel plan. If the CM says they don't know how to do this call again.

If you book online especially. This makes it impossible to modify RO to PKG without guest service's assistance. It only takes a moment, but it's an important step in keeping DMX data.

Thanks for the help everyone. I was just able to get a new FP thanks to the thread that announced there was availability. Thanks so much to the posters who got out the information. I am so relieved. As for the question about how it happened, I was told that when my husband called to change to deluxe dining, the CM failed to attach the tickets to the new reservation. When the tickets were lost, all FP were erased. I didn't understand how they immediately "found" our tickets but had no digital record of our FP, but I guess I don't know that much about technology. The CM also told me that there is a warning icon that comes up when a reservation is changed to remind them to attach the tickets, but that is was just missed. They agreed that we had done nothing to cause this, but said that it just couldn't be fixed other than by Guest Relations on the day we got to the park. I feel that they probably would have honored the FP, but I hated having to live with the uncertainty. Thanks to disboards, I feel much better now :cool1:
