help again please

When nothing else works for me, cola syrup works. You can get it at the pharmacy. Loaded with caffeine though. Put a little in glass with ice & just sip it.

My mom used to give me this when I was little. It worked great!

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Terri

Maybe you should call your mom and ask her for advice. She knows you better than anyone.

When I was younger I used to get really sick to my stomach during that time of the month, being on BCP and taking Ibuprofen really helped.

If you are feeling nausous because of anxiety then you should see a dr.

If it's bad and it's something I have never felt before... yes. It could be something very serious other than just nausea.

Going to the doctor wouldn't even cross my mind if I just felt like I might throw up. At least not at first. If I still felt that way in a day or two, maybe.

IDK... I'm just surprised by the force with which people are saying "go to the doctor"...

it is becuse I have ssi witch is for ppl like me who have a disablity, so I am wondering if he is a good DR. Not to mitchen when he gave me allergy medication. I did not find it helpful or I should say over the counter stuff was more effective

Still, that doesn't make sense. If you don't trust your current doctor, then you should get another, not get your diagnosis from strangers on the internet.
If you're just nauseous, it's probably nothing and some ginger ale and a few days rest should make you better. But if you are concerned enough about it to ask people that love Disney, then maybe you should see a doctor.

It could be anything from a simple stomach virus to giardia to cancer.

Really, people deal with nausea every day, without having to turn to random strangers online to get an answer. If you're really worried, go to the doctor or the ER. Don't worry, the taxpayers will take care of the bill.

The OP brought up the doctor FIRST, indicating a greater trust in anonymous message board "remedies" over a trained medical professional's advice.

No mater what my fince suggest I feel like I am going to throw up so any help would be great

Mind you that I did get my monthly visitor so that might have something to do with it
hi brittany. sorry you're sick. when did you start feeling sick?
make sure you don't take motrin (ibuprofin) on an empty stomach. that alone could make you feel like throwing up.
if you think it's just a stomach virus all you can do is stay in bed and try to sleep until it passes. salty food like crackers or chips usually help me. and drinking soda. i did see something for nausea at the pharmacy, but i've never tried it. might be worth sending your fiance out to get some. it might help.
if this happens every month during your period, you should talk to your doctor.
IGNORE THE RUDE, MEAN HEARTED PEOPLE ON HERE. PLEASE DON'T LET THEIR COMMENTS HURT YOUR FEELINGS!

oh yeah, i agree with the previous poster who suggested you call your mom. she does know you best and could help you decide if this is something you need to go to the doctor about or what!
:)

How long has this been going on? If it's just today, try some giner snap cookies - or pick up some Nausine at the pharmacy.. If it's more than a day or so, I would at least call a doctor and see what the nurse has to say..

Hope it passes soon..:goodvibes

I can't speak for everyone who posted, but telling her that a DOCTOR is better than random strangers on a Disney MESSAGE BOARD is not rude or mean.

I agree with Ceila - but then, I'm one of "those" people ;)

Thank you for the support, Ceila!

you're right. but responses to her threads tend to turn ugly quickly. people see a weakness and immediately pounce on it. even by people who know her situation (from past threads). i know she is sensitive to it, and i don't want it to get to her again. guess i just have a soft spot for brittany! ;)
all i'm saying to those offering advice to her is BE NICE. and if they aren't going to be nice, then i'm telling brittany to not let it get to her!

isn't this what we are ALL doing here.....talking to and getting advice from "random strangers on a disney message board"??? :confused3

I usually ask others before going to a doctor. Of course I can get past most things before I get to that point.

Sometimes, I've discovered, it's usually best just to puke because it'll get rid of that feeling and make you feel better. It's happened a time or two. I'd rather puke than feel sick all night long.

Well said..:)

Suggesting a trip to see the doctor can be said nicely - or not so nicely.. How the message is "delivered" can go a long way in being helpful - or not so helpful..
