Help, After Illuminations Getting From Epcot To D/disney

Hi, can anyone give me some advice about getting to downtown Disney from Epcot after the illuminations display, we have arranged to meet a friend at DD but are not sure if the buses will still be running and what time they run till. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There is no direct bus from Epcot to DTD. You would have to take a resort bus then transfer to a DTD bus at that resort.

safetymom is right... Disney seems to assume that you only want to go to the resorts from the parks. At least, that's how it seems from the buses they provide!!

Rather than transferring buses, you might be able to walk out the back of Epcot through the International Gateway and get on a bus at either Yacht & Beach or from Boardwalk to Downtown Disney. I am making the assumption that the buses run on a regular basis to/from DTD at that hour, since DTD (and PI) are open so late. Can anyone confirm this?

They did away with park buses from DTD or back because many people were parking at DTD and taking the bus to the park to avoid having to pay the parking fee at the park.

Catlady is right - The best thing to do, is walk out the International Gateway (in World Showcase) to one of the Epcot Resorts - Beach Club is your shortest walk. Walk thru the lobby & out front to their bus stop & take the DTD bus from there.
On the way home, just take your own resort bus back.

Where abouts in world showcase is this International Gateway?
What country is it near to, we havent done WSCase before.
Is Yacht & Beach club & Boardwalk well signposted?

International Gateway lies between The United Kingdom & France Pavillions. You will fork off to the right if you are coming at IG from UK. It is on the Epcot Map.
I'm not sure about the signs, but you will be able to tell where to enter the Beach Club by the structure of the building & the walkway there. If you go straight thru the lobby & come out the front, the bus stops will be off to your right - You will know them as they are the little covered pavillion things.
Oh! Just remembered - There is a Map of the Yacht & Beach Clubs in a case along the sidewalk - That will show you exactly where to go.
