Help With Adrs & Toddler Please!!??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all. I desperately need feedback about our itinerary and ADRs I've rescheduled and canceled too many times to count. I'm trying to make sure I have rest time built in for my 4 year old, which is why a lot of time is unscheduled.

Arrival 1pm-probably at hotel at 2-no ADRs (We're thinking we'll go to MK that night but not sure how little one will do with plane)
Day 1-Breakfast at AK-we'll spend the day, but not sure about the night. Figure maybe enjoy pool
Day 2-Going to Sea World-I HAVE NO ADRs because we don't know how long we'll be at Sea World or how tiring it'll be
Day 3-MK-DD4th b'day. ADR at CRT lunch and La Cellier Dinner spend day at MK
Day 4-Plan to go to MGM. ADR at Hoop Dee Doo
Day 5-Dinner at Chef Mickeys-spend day at MK

Basically, I had dinner at Epcot w/princesses and cancelled because we felt overbooked and knew we were doing dinner there another night. How important is that?? Should I book it for the night we get there? I thought I would be so excited I would just want to go to MK!

We're doing CRT,Breakfastasaurus and Chef Mickey's. Is it safe to make a res for the night you arrive or are you too busy running around the park? Where is a good sit-down at MK without characters?

Help!

You are going to love WDW, and so will your DD4! :goodvibes

As to your question about a special character meal for her birthday, we have actually spent my DD7 last 2 birthdays at WDW and we ate at Princess Storybook in Norway in 2005 and we had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare last year (it was also our departure day). We haven't done CRT yet and probably won't since I don't want to go through all the trouble to make ADRs plus I think the food at PSB and PF are better (from what I've read) Regardless, I'm sure your DD will love wherever she goes.

As far as her being tired on the first day, you'll probably be more tired than she'll be. Kid's can sleep anywhere and hopefully she'll nap on the plane. As far as building in rest time we found that with the time difference, we couldn't really plan her naps. :confused3 We first took her when she was 2 3/4. Basically, we had to wake her in the a.m. (we never made an early morning EMH, or even a park opening). We would wake her up after we were all ready to go. Since she's not much of a breakfast eater anyway, I would grab a few of the small boxes of cereal (or ziploc ones) and off we would go. She would eat her cereal, or other snacks, while in her stroller. The cereal also came in handy for her to feed birds at some rides when we would do baby switch. We found that she would fall asleep in her stroller after being up for a few hours (most days) and we let her sleep for awhile while the adults did other things (got fastpasses, had a late breakfast, or early lunch, shopped, explored, and when we had 3 adults, did baby switch on a few rides) This worked great for us.

Also, you're right about the pool time at AK. The pool there is awesome, especially the beach entrance. When I ask my DD what her favorite part of our trip(s) is she still answers "the pool" (or waterparks). As long as we schedule in pool time, she's a happy girl.

Let me know if I can answer any more questions, have a great time!

Thanks for all the info. Sounds like you didn't need an adr for norway? if thats the case then i guess i can stop stressing.
