Help!ADR on DDP question

DH & I each have 5 TS credits, I've made 3 ADR. That means 2 left. Here's my question...DH doesn't want to "over plan" & just wants us to take our chances. I on the other hand am getting nervous. What would everyone else do? I need opinions!

My mother is currently trying to make meal reservations for 5/4 and 5/5 and can't get anything before 9:30 PM, so I'd suggest having reservations - especially if you are on the dining plan and are limited to restaurants that take the dining plan.

Make them you can always cancel when the time comes and you decide you don't want to go.

Make the reservations and keep that fact to yourself! Then when your dh gets there and tries to wing it and probably can't, you can be the heroine and let him know you made the plans. I seriously doubt there will be much open for your trip once you get there. I would NEVER chance paying for the DDP and then having leftover credits due to not planning. The DDP has made last minute walkups, harder and harder to come by.

And of course if you are able to make alternate plans, be sure and cancel the adr's you already made. But I doubt that will happen.

The last couple times I have walked into the MK (on off season trips) they have had a nice big sign out saying: There are no table service reservations available for that day. I tried to get a last minute ADR for San Angel last week, no dice. If I had been on the DDP and had that scenario I would have been really bummed!
