I too have a seafood allergy (specifically shellfish), but I'm only in trouble if I actually eat it. However, I still pay attention to the "smell", especially at seafood restaurants because you never know, I'm always worried the allergy will get worse.
Anyway, the only time I have noticed a fishy smell at CA Grill was during our last trip when my mom ordered the scallops; however, it didn't smell fishy until it was on the table.
So although the restaurant itself doesn't smell of fish, that doesn't mean that someone at a table next to you won't order seafood.
If you do end up going, you might want to make a request to be seated far away from the sushi prep area.
