Help a worried first time mom pack! share a tip!

Yes, definately do the ziplock bags! Love that tip. If you have little ones it's so easy to grab a bag to keep in the stroller for a change of clothes.
When my kids were little the ziploc bags with outfits worked great. Before they could dress themselves and DH was helping me get them ready he just had to grab a bag and no worry about which shirt I wanted with which shorts. When the kids started to be able to dress themselves I could tell them to pick any bag out of their suitcase that they wanted and I didn't have to worry about whether things matched, plus they felt like they were "picking out" their own clothes so there were no arguements.
Mornings went so much faster.

It's also great because you know exactly how many complete outfits I had and I could just add extra undies, extra socks and p.j.'s

Even if it's warm outside, bring a sweatshirt for everyone. Some indoor attractions and restaurants will be very chilly. You have a 2 yr. old so I assume you'll have at least one stroller. So dress as you like for the day at the park, but keep a sweatshirt for the kids in the stroller. Bring ponchos (take little packing space, and cheaper than buying them in the park) for those afternoon rain bursts.

Plan on doing laundry once in the middle of the trip and that will cut your luggage in half. It won't be a chore, because you'll be back at the room anyhow for rest in the afternoon so your kids don't melt down at night.:rotfl2:
