Normally, I'm traveling with my kids who are all late sleepers. This time it's just me and my mom and we'd like to rope drop and use the express transportation to park hope to a second park with fastpasses. But, i've never rope dropped before!! In all likelihood, I will do DHS and MK as rope drop parks. I'm particularly interested in catching the MK welcome show (which we have never seen) and knocking out TSM without using a FP+. What time will I need to arrive at each park to make this work? Should I try to get a PPO ADR for BOG? TIA!

what is TSM is it 7DMT if so I have heard of people getting ADR and gearing on early.

if you d decide to do RD then get there at lest an hour early if not a little sooner stand on the bridge the leads to fanticeyland and try to walk right behind the CM you will not get a good view of the welcome show but you will be able to hear it, and with a PPO ADR you will not see it or hear it

If you plan to watch the show at MK then there's no point doing the PPO at BOG. If you want to ride 7D instead, skip the welcome show and then the PPO ADR would help. At HS, use the gates to the far left to enter the park. Then as you head back toward TSM stay to the right (but don't head toward RNR and TOT). If the parks open at 9 I'd arrive by 8:15 at the gates for both but you could probably push it a little later.

At MK, I don't need 7DMT. I just want to catch the welcome show and get a quick go on PPF. what time if those are my goals and where should we stand?

I'd be at the gates/bag check at about 8:15. Enjoy a walk down Main Street. Stand in front of the castle stage for the show. After the show you can walk left around the castle or wait briefly til they let you walk thru the castle and back to PP. have fun.

For MK....Have you followed the new (as of January) opening procedures? Just making sure. For a 9AM opening, they let you through the gate at roughly 8AM and you are free to roam around Main Street up to the hub/castle area. There is a new welcome show on the castle stage that starts at 8:55AM.

Different reports on the setup for 8AM openings, there's a long thread about it somewhere around here. But if it's a 9AM opening, I'd plan to arrive sometime in that 8-8:40ish time frame, grab a coffee on Main Street, maybe shop, then watch the castle opening show. It's actually a very relaxing way to start an MK day if you ask me!

If you want to go to PP, position yourself towards the left in the hub and take the bridge over to Frontierland. Once the 7DMT crowd veers off you can move around much easier.

I don't have any experience with HS rope drop, sorry!

Hope that helps!

TSM= Is Toy Story Midway Mania (technically TSMM)

OK I se now I thought the OP was talking about seeing the welcome show at the MK and then doing a ride there, but I see where they were talking about the welcome show at the MK and then doing RD at HS. I guess when she asked about PPO ADR at BOG it thought me off too.

It's actually just Toy Story Mania! now according to disney's materials, which took me forever to get used to, but I think i've got it now

If it is TSMM at HS that you would like to RD be there an hour/45 minutes early they will let you in I think it was 30 minutes up to where you can go right to RnR or TOT you will want to be middle right. the Right side will go right to the rides there. Your group will go to the ride straight ahead TSM and TGMR and the left side will go to Jeti training ( or what ever it is called) and ride over there. if you/ when you see the CM in the TSM costumes try to be behind them. you should not have a bight problem getting on with little wait as with the 3 track the ride dose go faster.

Guess they just got tired of fully spelling out. Those budget cuts lol

Ride still says "midway" on it.

Sorry to high jack your thread, had a quick similar rope drop question for HS.

We plan to do RD HS and Jedi Training sign ups for my 10 & 8 year old. Best advice?? Arrival Time/Entrance/Etc?

same as the above but instead of waiting in the middle right you will want to wait more to the left of RD and I think they have add more kids to each group so it is not as hard to get signed up, but you will and to get there early. I think this is right

I did edit the above linked post some to hopefully make it clear, I do have a spelling /grammer/ writing my ideas down so if something does not make since please ask or someone else will let you know
