We are a family of 4 (adults and 2 teenage daughters) very experience at WDW, but first timers at US/IoA.

December 27, 28- full day and 29th a few hours only (3rd day free so a bonus). We are staying at the Hard Rock so we will get the Express pass perk and early entry. Not getting "hoppers".

IoA is open 8:00-11:00pm (so we get in at 7:00am?)
US is open 8:00 - 10:00pm (does US have the early entry?)

Morning of day 3 will be whichever park we want to revisit.

Where should we start? I'd like a mid day break for our full days. What rides should we do first (which ones don't have express pass?)

Any help appreciated!

At IoA after opening there is a mad DASH to Potter Land, So if that's what you want to do first.

Cut through Suess land and go to the right through the Lost Cont. Don't cut through Jurassic Park it's longer. Then work your way around from there.

All the major rides have express pass so it's not a real issue on what to go on first,

IoA--HP Forbidden Journey is the only exception, ripsaw falls doesn't have express either.

US--Rip Ride Rockit is the only ride to hit early and often.

Not sure about early entry into US, 2yrs ago they offered it. I know the last time I went at regular opening at US half the ride and shop were not open for 30-45 min.

You realize of course that you're visiting at the busiest time of the year? Even though you will have unlimited Express, the parks will be jammed and eating, shopping even going to the restroom will require lots and lots of patience. That said...I'm sure you'll have a good time.

Ripsaw Falls definitely has an express line. Only FJ and Pteranadon Fliers don't have it at IOA.

Yup- we are well aware of how busy it will be which is why we decided to stay at the Hard Rock. I'm a teacher with kids in junior high and high school so we are used to traveling with the masses!

Fingers crossed it will all be manageable. Thanks for the tips! We always tour with a plan and not used to being newbies in a park!

Glad you posted this, We are in the same boat-all vacations are Xmas week. I would love to hear how it went for you after your trip as we are considering the same for next year. (Considered to this year but on a Disney cruise).
