Ok - so here is the problem....This is my fifth trip in November, it will be my BF's first. We are going for 8 days. I know what I want to see and I know how long it would take me in WDW. My BF is NOT into the fuzzy over-stuffed animals (it is going to take all I have to convince him to get a photo with Mickey), he's not interested in Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, or teacups. He wants to go for the thrill rides....which I'm ok with, considering our time frame. He's also not really into shows, well, at least not this trip. We are planning a couple of days in Universal (I LOVE Universal, and I think it will be more up his alley), a day in Busch gardens, and at least one full day shopping.

So, the problem now is....which tickets should I buy???

Option 1) Buy a 3 day hopper pass with expiry (on undercover tourist you get 3 days free)
or
2) Buy the 4 day pass with no hopper and expiry, and then do a couple of half days and go shopping in the afternoon, either DTD, or around Orlando.

The dilemma....The cost. My BF just changed jobs and is making significantly less than before. We already have most of the trip paid for, thankfully (airfare, condo, tix to universal, etc) except for the tix to WDW. The 4 day no hopper is $38 less (x2 this is almost $80, plus we need to convert to Canadian, so a little more). Now, I know this isn't alot, but what would you all do? Would you pay the extra to have the hopper pass, or would you do the other pass???

Sorry so long....

Personally if money was tight then I would not pay the extra. Since looking on Tour Guide Mike. He has given us alot of information what mornings/afternoons is best to visit each park. If you think your bf will get bored all day in MK then it might be a good idea to have most of the day in MK and the evening in Epcot. He will have a few thrill rides and to finish off the evening you can enjoy a meal in the World Showcase. Or vice versa. You never know he might just enjoy the disney magic. ;)

Another vote here for the hoppers. If your BF really isn't that into the whole Disney scene, and isn't interested in shows, I think he'll be bored out of his mind if he has to spend a whole day in one park. I LOVE WDW, and I still get bored spending the whole day in one park. :rotfl2: I would try and talk him into the teacups though. They're so much more fun than people give them credit for!
Even though it will cost about $100 more, I think you'll have a more enjoyable vacation if you're free to pop into a park, hit the thrill rides, then hop over to another park for dinner and more rides. I hope you guys have an amazing time!!

Sounds to me like hoppers would be the most suitable for you and your BF. Especially if he is more interested in the thrill rides.

If you can get a 3 day hopper plus 3 extra days for free that sounds to me like a better value for your money. 6 days with park hopping vs. 4 days with no hopping---that's a no brainer. Even if you won't be using all six of the days maybe by then you could scrape up the extra cash to add the non expire option after you get to WDW.

Tip: use the passes at least one time before you add any options. I was told that once a pass is used WDW can't tell where it originated ie:discounted seller. I don't know how true that is but it's worth doing if it saves you money.
