Hi there! We are eloping in May and because none of my family or friends know I feel alone with my lack of fashion sense. I could really use some advice on wedding jewlery and tiaras etc!

Here is my dress:

I ordered a 2 tier veil with crystal edging, very subtle sparkle.

I need help with hair, jewlery, and tiaras! I do not want to overdo it. I am hoping to wear my hair down with curls.

Hi! Jewelry is such a personal choice... I love your dress! From what I can tell, even though you have a ball gown, the dress itself is not very blingy... So you can probably get away with sparkly jewelry. Since you already have a a tiara, I would try to match the tiara. I think your hair would look great down in curls but you also have to take in the time you are getting married, if its inside or outside, and if you are prone to get hot easily. I get hot easily so I'll be wearing my hair half up half down. With all that being said, its your wedding and you should do whatever you want! Happy Planning :)

I agree that you could go sparkley since your dress is understated. Etsy and Ebay have some great items at great prices, do a search and see what pops out at you.

I'd go for something you will use again. If you don't see yourself wearing a sparkly necklace again then don't buy it. I have lots of allergies so I can't wear any metals that aren't 14k or platinum I can wear sterling but it really has to be good quality or I break and its painful. I'm opting for a pearl necklace, bracelet and larger pearl stud. I've been looking at an akoya set that can then be attached to each other to extend the necklace length. I don't think you have to spend a fortune but do think it will be an extra treat to be able to wear your wedding jewelry again be it an anniversary or party night out. Thats why I recommend going for something you really like.

I do think with the neckline you chose you really have many options. If you want classic I'd go for pearls, modern something large and colorful, princess something shiny.

If you can I'd buy a strapless top same landing height as your dresses neckline and then go try some stuff on and see how you like it. It helps if its a similar color but not neccesary. You could always bring it home and if the color seems off return or exchange for the right item.

Go minimal with jewelry. A simple diamond and pearl neck piece would do the trick. Curls will suit your strapless dress. Wish you luck :)
