Good morning ladies! I don't usually have time to come over to this side of WISH, I usually keep to the Journal section due to time constraints.

Anyway, I have a dilemma. I haven't doing very well in the exercise area but I'm vowing to start a regular program by Monday and I need help from the experts. So far I've lost 47 1/2 pounds and I currently weigh 176 1/2. Our first trip to WDW is coming up in August and I want to look my best. That means I have 6 months to firm up this body. My goal is to lose an additional 30 pounds by then. I think if I exercise faithfully, I should be able to do it.

I was surfing the web yesterday looking at swimsuits and thought it would be great if I could wear a 2 piece this summer. Mind you, I don't mean a bikini, no way! I mean a tankini, you know those two piece suits where most of your tummy is covered. They had some really cute ones on the Victoria's Secrets website that I fell in love with. They also have different types of bottoms that you can pair with the tops. Of course I'd choose the more modest ones.

Anyway, here's where I need help. Can any of you recommend a really good abs workout DVD including one for the entire body? I bought a Pilates DVD about 3 weeks ago and it disappeared and I haven't replaced it yet. Any thoughts, ideas? I'd really appreciate any tips you may have.:D

The Firm tapes are really good workouts. The abs section will have your tummy flat by then if you do it faithfully. I am in half way decent shape, and I can't do the entire ab section right now. I have to stop and take a breather during it cause it BURNS!

I always buy 2 pieces. They just look better on me. Years ago I was in Daytona. Went to a very upscale bathing suit store. At the time DS was 8 mos old and I had an extra 60 lbs on me! The gentleman/owner who was helping me had to agree, the 1 piece suits just did nothing for me. Try Carabela also, they have quite a few 2 pieces which you can mix and match.

And did you try out that virtual model site that was posted here a few weeks ago? You can try on suits that way too!;)

Thanks very much for the tip! I saw the Firm DVDs at Costo where I shop regularly and had considered them but heard the routine was difficult to get through. Hey, I'll never know until I try.

I'll check our those Carabela suits you mentioned. I don't look good in one piece suits either, they make me look like a stuffed sausage!

I had heard about the virtual model thing but didn't take the time to look into it, but I'll be sure to look into it. Thanks again!

Keep the tips coming girls, I'm open to all suggestions.:D

The FIRM is my favorite! They work wonders. You can't spot reduce in the ab area, but you can definately tone the muscles underneath. The only way for the FAT to disappear is through melting the fat away. Then those abs will shine through.

I did the FIRM last fall and saw great results. Got really busy and quit. 3 weeks ago, I started doing the FIRM again and I can already tell a difference. It even got me moving after a few month plateau.

There are several sets out there, not sure which one you saw. It really is a great workout. And a lot of people get really hooked once starting them. I always find them fun (challenging though! Very tough foot work), but it always keeps my interest and I can't wait to do the next workout!

Good luck!

Try Tamilee Webb's "I Want that Body". It has nine 15 minute workouts that you can add to the end of a cardio. 2 are for abs. It's a good one.

My sister swears by the 8 minute abs DVD. I have one but I've never tried it

Okay, I'm feeling pretty guilty now :(

I also do the 8 min abs, I like it but I am now dying to try the firm for a change. Thanks, for the idea.
