At the Wilderness Lodge. We're having second thoughts about this! One, is my 1 year old dd....but 4 adults in one room.....Where else could we go, w/out spending a lot more money?

You can book 2 rooms at one of the Values or Moderates. I don't think I would be able to handle 4 adults in one room! When are you planning to go?

I would prefer to stay in a mod or value resort with 2 rooms ie 2 bathrooms 2 tv's. I went and stayed at CBR with DH 2 DD 16 and DS5 last Sept and it worked out much better than 1 room at CR the prior year. We were dressed much faster and ready to go. Cut the ready time down to 45 min in the am and much faster to shower and dress for the pm shift at the parks.
We also had 2 fridges, one for each room. We did the grocery stop and fill them up with breakfast foods and snacks.

If I had to choose between 1 deluxe or 2 rooms value I'd choose the 2 rooms. :cool1:

PS dont forget the deluxes and mods have the slides non at the values. But that is what the Waterparks are for

either way have a great trip :cool1:

You can book 4 adults to a room and the 1 year old can get a pack and play. I know this because we booked Pop Century for our Son's family of 5. They have a 16 month old and he was free and not counted. If the child is under 2 they are free and not counted as a person in the room.

You could also try Swan/Dolphin - I think their rooms are larger - or at least they sure felt that way!

I agree that you will feel VERY cramped in a room at WL with four adults and a child.

2 rooms at a vlue would be $99 a night for each room
1 room at POR would be $149 a night for 1 room

I think you would feel very cramped in a mod room with 4 adults.

We had 2 moms and 2 teen girls in a room at WL and it was very crowded! Those are very small rooms for a deluxe.

How close are you to the other adults? If they are just friends, it might be a bit close. If they are siblings or parents/grandparents, it might not be too bad. Just make sure you don't cancel the reservation until you find something else. It might be hard to make another reservation.

It's my brother and his wife. So, we are close...problem is my dh snores!! :rotfl2: They were the ones who wanted to share a room though. I actually spent all day trying to find another room....there's NOTHING in the Wilderness Lodge....and I don't really want to downgrade...so looks like that's where we'll be! I'm hoping we'll be able to take advantage of our balcony, so dd can fall asleep in some quiet.

Any chance you could get at least a one bedroom at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge? You'd have a king sized bed (with a private bedroom) for you, your husband and the baby, plus the sleeper sofa in the living room for your brother and his wife. A little extra room, maybe a little extra cost. Plus you would have the full sized (though small, a galley style) kitchen and a stackable washer and dryer. And a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.

Or bring along some disposable ear plugs for everyone. ;)

Well ... as you know you're going during Spring Break. I think you'll be hard pressed to find anything available at the last minute. I guess your BIL asked for it! Have a great time :).

Earplugs!

Keep trying to find another room. Or would you consider a wing room at the contemporary? They're much larger. Patios only on the first floor, though. No balcony.

I don't have a brother, but DH has 1 & 3 sisters. I don't think I could share a room with any of them for more than 1-2 nights. But I'm an only child and I like my privacy. DH grew up sharing 1 bathroom with 7 people & he would probably be fine!

Hope you have a great trip!

My advice is, unless you will only use your room to get into bed, sleep, get up and leave until that night, DO NOT put four adults and a child into one room at WL!!! :sad2:

They are small rooms and if you want your room to also be your "home" for your stay, you will be WAY too cramped.

:Pinkbounc>>>>>>>

I have stayed twice at Carribean Beach with four adults. Three adults and one teenage girl to be exact. Daughter and I shared bed, my mother(70 something) had one bed and my brother had a roll-away bed. We had plenty of room and did not feel cramped at all. The same four of us also stayed at the WL-I thought room was a tad smaller(and we just booked again tonight for July)but very doable. Just have to prioritize the bathroom schedule. My friends did 4 adults in the all starts and it was a nightmare.

But they have a one year old right? Baby in a strange place, out of routine, all of those people around.... I think the bathrrom could be the least of their problems. I would try really hard to find another room somewhere...

All I can say is the Wilderness Lodge room was two small for DH and me. Can't imagine four adults and a baby. Although supposed to be smaller, we thought POR rooms were actually roomier. WL rooms are very narrow. DH and I were tripping over each other and the beds and the armoir every time we tried to go to the other side of the room. I like the idea of other posters to try to change to CR. The rooms are quite a bit larger and more comfortable than WL rooms.

If you could get a WL Villa that would be great. Or, I'd even consider Wilderness Cabins if any are available, although transportation there is terribly inconvenient.

If nothing else is available given Spring Break, well make the best and have fun anyway. Try to have very active exhausting days so everyone is really tired when you get back to the room. I've shared ship cabins with four adults before and those are smaller than WL rooms. We managed!
