HI all I am a newbie !!! We are taking DD to diney in September, and she will turn 2 the day before we get there. I want her to see the Princesses, but I think the Storybook dining many be too much for her. Where else can we see the princesses , just for pictures and such?

At Mickey's Toontown they have a room with the Princesses. I am not sure who is there though but probably Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Aurora.

Ariel is in her grotto in Fantasyland. Belle is in France as is Aurora sometimes. Snow White is in Germany. Jasmine is in Morocco. Belle also does a storytime in the MK.

We were there in March. We did the Breakfast in Norway. My DD is 4. It was great and she got to have the princesses come to her. Cinderella was not there ( I knew she wouldn't be). We were going to go to Toon Town to see the Princesses there but decided on the Pooh Line instead. The Princess line had about a 1-1/2 to 2 hour wait. So, if this is the way you are going to go make sure to get the times and try and get there right away before the crowds.

I would do the Storybook meal - choose a breakfast or lunch time, so she won't be so tired. It's not chaotic at all, and they have a very kid-friendly cold bar (fruit, cheese and cold cuts, crackers, a yummy tortilla-type pastry that is slightly sweet) that you can eat from right away while you wait for food and princesses. (If you are standing in line it can be hard on little ones) They come right to your table and are very sweet with little ones, and you can do it all at once. The food is quite good (we've been eating at Norway way before princesses came there, and my kids always ate well there). You can set the tone, and since she is only 2 you don't have autograph books to worry about (plenty of time for that when she actually cares) so go and sit down, enjoy the food and atmosphere, and your daughter should have a magical time! princess:

I think the CM's are 1 event directly aimed at kids who are too young to do other things, like the big rides, etc...you are the best judge of DD, but we are planning on doing lots of CM's w/ our little ones! Good luck

The youngest our kids have gone is 3, but I found meeting characters at meals to be much better for the little ones. The situation was much more controlled-- no pushing, no bigger kids (and sometimes adults) cutting in front of them. We had issues with this even at Mickey's Toontown Fair, and while the buddy castmembers handle it if they see it, it made both of our kids very upset.

If you're not pressed for cash and can justify spending whatever it costs now for the breakfast, I'd go for it. We did the Princess breakfast a week or so after it started, and it was great. If my kids (now 11, 7, and 2) didn't love Pooh so much, we'd do it again. Our 11 year old dd is "over" princesses, and is trying to brainwash the baby not to like them, either- only Belle and Mulan are acceptable to our big girl.

When we went 12/04, my younger DD was 26 months and we did the Norway Princess breakfast. She LOVED it... the princess interaction was awesome....

We also had a lot of luck at Mickey's Toontown.... she met Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty there

Very cute pictures!

I also agree to do a Princess character meal. Last September, DD turned 2 during our trip. She loved CRT with Cinderella. We also did Chef Mickeys for her actual birthday.

This year we're doing the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickeys and Liberty Tree Tavern.

My younger daughter would not go anywhere near the characters. Not one character. She clung to me for dear life whenever one got close. Yes, even the princesses. I don't know Disney's cancellation policy, but could you maybe book a character meal for later in the trip? That way you could keep or cancel based on her reaction to princesses in the park? We had good luck with Toontown fair for my older daughter.
