We are planning our first trip for the 2nd week of June. I have called and got a few ADRS but I am lost on what to do for a few of them. Maybe somebody can help. We are going to be in the parks for 8 days. We have 2 days planned for MK, 2 for Epcot, one for AK and DS, and 2 open days to do what ever our favorites will be. It will be me, my wife and our 4 and 6 year old girls. What we have planned so far looks like this

Arive in Orlando early Friday evening stay in cheap hotel.

Saturday -Magic Kingdom Day - Check in to POP - 4:05 ADR for LTT (having 2nd thoughts about this after reading some BAD reviews)

Sunday - Animal Kingdom - No ADR yet for this day

Monday - Coral Reef 4:00 pm ADR (Daughters LOVE fish)

Tuesday - Disney Studios No ADR yet

Wed - Magic Kingdom 4:00 CRT

Thursday - Epcot - 4:00 LeCellier

Friday - No CLUE ?????

Sat -No CLUE?????

We would like to try Whispering Canyon, Ohanas, and maybe Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Faire. We are open to any sugestions or opinions. We are on the dining plan and we have been tring to get early dinner ADRS just in case our girls poop out early.

we really loved 1900 park faire, great food and atmosphere. we also enjoy crystal palace (buffet in MK with characters from winnie the pooh), le cellier is great; you'll love it. Marakesh in Morocco in EPCOT has wonderful food and an amazing atmosphere. but, i don't know if the kids would be that into the food.
hope this has helped a little.:)

I vote for Ohana and Whispering Canyon for the antics and Chef Mickey for the Character interaction...your girls are at the perfect age for all of this!

Would you trade LTT for one of those or should I do them on one of the other days. I guess one of the reasons I am at such a loss is not knowing what park we are going to be in Fri and Sat. So I am not sure where to get ADRS for those 2 days, and from reading the DIS I am not sure where to book ADRS for the DIsney Studios and Animal Kingdom days because I am not sure if we are going to be able to entertain our children all day at those parks.

Do you have hopper passes?

I think your girls would enjoy Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare. Dining at the resorts is a great way to check them out for future visits.

On your Disney Studio day, have you consider a Fantasmic package? Or, the Boardwalk restaurants and some Resort restaurants are just a beautiful boat ride away. You can catch the boat at, and return to the Studios.

We are not planning on getting hoppers but are open to the idea. I did not know that we could catch a boat to board walk that may be a great idea.

We are not planning to see fantasmic we will have to see how the girls do. They are VERY much early to bed early to rise chicks so we will have to wait and see. We are leaving from the school parking lot to dirve to Disney on the last day of school so we will not have time to work on adjusting sleeping schedules before we go.

Don't forget the Resort and Downtown Disney Restaurants. Then it won't matter which park you are visiting.

Will you have a car?

Also, since you are staying on-site, consider returning to the resort for an afternoon break, nap, swim. After you are refreshed, head out for your ADR's and return to the park for the evening shows and/or parades.

LTT was one of our favorite meals. Chef Mickey's is a great place for character interaction!!! We always go there the first day, it sets the tone for a great trip!!

We will have a car. I am kind of unsure af the travel times around Disney World. Like how long would it take for us to drive from Animal Kingdom to Whispering Canyon? Will it be a big hassel or is it worth the time?

15 minute drive at most by the time you check in with the guard shack and find a parking place.

Well that helps ALOT. When I called for ADRS all the CM would tell me was allow 45 min to 1 hour to travel anywhere around Disney World even by car.

Have you checked the park calendar hours?

As a Disney resort guest, you can attend the Extra Magic Hours. Since the girls are early risers, the park with the extra morning hour would work out great. Just being at the parks early (even if it doesn't have the extra hour) is a huge advantage. You will be able to do a lot before it gets too crowded.

Have you thought of a character breakfast? If you schedule one located inside a park and schedule the first one of the day, you will already be in the park when it opens. (Great photo opportunity as not many people around.)

My children seem to be able to handle late hours when at Disney. We always rent a double stroller and if they're tired, they'll sleep anywhere (and they still crash when we return to the room.)

They will always tell you that to make sure you are not late...on average it takes 20-30 minutes most days to get where you are going by bus...however, during the busier times it can take longer. If you are using your own car and you do not get lost it will take less...they do not have adequate "signage" in my opinion...ask for a map at the front desk of your resort and have them tell you the best way to get where you are going...trust me on this, my husband got so "ticked" he did a U-turn in the median at WDW...I thought for sure we would promptly be escorted off of WDW property and it was only the 1st day of our vacation!!!

What character breakfast would you suggest? We are not a big fan of Pooh don't know why they just never fell in love with him. Is Tusker House a good option??

For your first trip, I wouldn't overplan the meals.

You have no way of knowing what you and the girls are really going to get into at WDW. It's a shame if you always have to be rushing off to be at a certain restaurant at a certain time.

With adults it's different, but with two young children I'd consider the vast options for counter service and flexibility. It's not all burgers and hot dogs at the counter services.

Just a suggestion, have a fantastic trip!!

Have not yet eaten at Tusker House but LOVE Chef Mickey's...a lot of fun and good food to boot!

That was our thought to begin with then we chose to buy the dining plan to have everything paid for before we go. We have a fear of not getting a table if we don't make ADRS.

I meant to mention I don't think hoppers would be necessary for your family. For first time visitors, there's enough to discover in each park, and especially if you think your girls will poop-out early.
